The product is sturdy and gets the job done. It could be a little hard to lock, so I always have to figid with it every time I use it.

Horribly made product. First one I bought did not slide to set, needed lots of jiggling to place pin. Second I bought snapped with the smallest amount of pressure. Don't recommend.

We moved into our new home with unsafe and not to code banister that gave me nightmares about my 2 small children falling through! All the standard barriers didn’t work with our unique design so we were struggling. Then I came across these! And they are truly perfect! The intricate design of the gate allowed me to use zip ties everywhere I needed and secure it down. And doesn’t hurt that they are very pretty too and exactly the style of my home. These are a perfect temporary solution for when we get new banister in the spring! Thrilled!!

I got this to deter my roommate’s cat from banging and scratching on my bedroom door at night. I put it the gate up in the doorframe in front of the closed door. It works very well so far - the holes are too small to fit his little paw through. Finally I can sleep!The issues:I’ve only had it for a day, so I can’t speak to the issues with the tension bar fracturing as seen in other reviews. What I will say is it’s a little hard to open and close — the plastic and metal “clasps” that holds the tension bar shut are very tight and make the bar hard to pull up. My gate also came with some black scuffs on the plastic. The big things is the plastic lattice is pretty bendy and flimsy, definitely wouldn’t hold up to a larger dog or a baby leaning on it. Just fine for a cat, tho!
