Richard,Our Pink salt is mined from under the Himalayan mountains in the Salt Range that begins in Northeast Pakistan and stretches aprox 186 miles from the Jhelum River to the Indus River. PInk salt contains a small amount of naturally occurring fluoride.

Q: How many cups of salt is in the bag?

I never measured it in cups. It says 8 ounces so it seems like it is 1 cup -- It is fine so I think it was a little more than 1 cup in this 8 oz bag. Sorry . I started using otherwise I would go measure it.
