I bought one for myself initially and a friend saw it, used it and loved it and then I bought for him and then another one and then another one like that... The plate is good and stays clean. The auto shutoff function works perfectly. The stem is also good. Just be careful not to drop it :-D because I dropped it a few times from the iron board and it stopped working (but its my fault).

I'm a big fan of Stanley and Black + Decker. I own many products from them and I guess this is the 8th one. Since many years I was using dry iron and it never satisfied me. Many reputed brands make steam iron and I had eyes on this product. Finally bought it on summer sale and received it on time. Seller name "The Online Home Store" packed it nicely and shipped promptly. However, I would have got it next day but ATS simply held the package in Bangalore for 24 hours making me wait more. The built quality of iron excellent and the weight is perfect for erasing wrinkles. It has 10amp plug which fits on normal size sockets and heats up very quickly. Builtin storage tank holds 380ml of water and gives nice steam without dripping. Steam burst is very powerful and makes loud blasting sound. I'd avoid use it near babies and heart patients. Water sprayer is also good and very useful sometimes. Only thing is I wish it had a little longer cable. As mentioned by other reviewers, sticker on the box says its "Imported by Stanley". On the bottom of it says "Made In India" as well as on the iron. I'm sure its manufactured here because the model number ends with IN but importer mistakenly mentioned "Imported by" instead of "Manufactured by", this is what I believe. Finally I would highly recommend this product and enjoy ironing your cloths. :D
