Really hope this was not discontinued. Has been increasingly hard to get. It’s a very light oil with a light scent. Doesn’t dry out my skin the way more soap-like foaming shaving creams do. Doesn’t leave an overpowering perfume afterward. Doesn’t clog my pores. Can use it for shaving my scalp as well as whiskers.When I couldn’t find this, I tried more boutique/artisanal shaving oils. This is still the best for the money.Fingers crossed they keep making it!

I first got this shave oil when my wife got some kind of freebie in a package. I ran out of my usual shaving cream, and finally tried the Bull Dog Shave Oil. What a revelation! How is it that for my entire life I've never even heard of shave oil? This gives me the best, esasist, smoothest shave I've ever had. Is this some kind of old timey thing that went away with industrialization? Who knows. All I know is I'll never go back. This stuff is amazing.

Experienced shaver, top quality safety razor and blades, used a new blade lathered with quality shaving soap.My ratings:4-Star: clean close shave with fewer passes? Yes.3-Star: not smooth, it does not glide over your face, a bit rough3-Star: had to use more oil than recommended so used up faster.4-Star: nice scentI've used better but I will take along when traveling, it does it's job but not so smooth. The shaving experience is personal so I wouldn't recommend. Maybe on a softer beard like a young man this would work.
