i have been buying dry red beans for 50 years, theese are very good

Good shelf life
It doesn't seem particularly easy to buy dried red beans these days. You just soak them overnight in cold water. Next day boil rapidly for ten minutes, they are not cooked enough at this stage but ready to use. I like to add some chickpeas tin of baked beans tin of tomato couple of oxo type cubes and any spices you want and simmer for about 40 minutes. If you add extra tinned beans and stuff and put in a dish with chopped bread pieces and grated cheese in the grill or oven you can feed five thousand. Buy the dried chickpeas and have a party
