Vaultskin Chelsea Slim Leather Card Wallet for Men, RFID, Front Pocket

I had my old fat wallet stolen; it used to weigh a ton, bulged my pocket out half a mile, and had about a million useless cards and junk inside it which I had collected over the years. So It was time to go lightweight. All my important cards are now on my phone these days, so all I wanted was a very slim wallet to carry a couple of backup cards in case of phone problems, my driving licence, and a bit of rarely-used cash. The Vaultskin works very well for this purpose. I use the centre pull-out hidden section for the rarely-used cards and keep my most commonly-used credit card in the outer pocket. The puller strap for the recessed centre section stops it from falling out, but does mean that you have to dig past it with your fingernails to get the card out, which is not a bad thing in my view. The other outer section I use for emergency folded money - the standard UK note height fits in just fine but you have to fold it lengthways into three to get it fully covered by the pocket and avoid the risk of fraying the edges. After years of a big beast wallet in my pocket it felt a a bit odd at first having a slimline version. A few times I've had to do a nervous pat-down to check it's actually still in there. I've had it two months now and it's worn in nicely to get that comfy wallet look. The leather quality is good and the stitching hasn't shifted one bit, though it's still early days. The only downside is the cost, which seems rather a lot for something so small, but I'm very pleased with it overall and won't ever go back to a fat wallet again.

I purchased an AirTag holder card from Amazon by "PEUTIER" because I didn’t want the AirTag to fall out. When I placed the AirTag holder card in the external card slot, it caused an issue where the "pull tab" wouldn’t return to its position after being used to retrieve cards. This meant I had to manually push the cards back down to reset it. To avoid this, I opted to place the AirTag in the notes section of the wallet alongside my cash. This works well, there’s no significant bulge, and it doesn’t interfere with accessing the notes. However, using the AirTag holder card is crucial to prevent the AirTag from being pulled out accidentally. Q: What happens if you overfill the wallet? A: Overfilling prevents you from pulling the cards out easily and stops the elastic pull tab from returning properly. Q: Can you fit coins in the note section? A: Yes, but it’s worth noting that this might cause impressions to be left on the leather due to bending. While it’s a viable option, it’s best suited for carrying only a small number of coins. Before I give my review, sharing my use case may help you decide if my opinions and experience are relevant to your needs. I carry 3 cards in the main slot (one with raised information and two without), 3–5 notes of various denominations, and no coins. I also use the outside card slot for gift cards (when I have them), I purchased this wallet for £25.99. Now, onto the wallet itself: The build quality is great. It’s made from smooth, nice-quality leather, and the stitching is consistent and well-done. While there are a few minor visual scuffs on the leather, they’re only noticeable under angled light and not visible unless you’re actively looking for them. Overall, it’s a sleek, attractive wallet. The size is great, it fits easily in the palm of your hand and doesn’t bulk out your pocket. £10 and £5 notes fit perfectly in the note pocket with little to no overhang, while £20 notes extend slightly beyond the edge by around 5mm. I feel confident that this wallet will hold up well over time, but I’ll be sure to update this review if anything changes. For now, there are no loose stitches, which suggests it’s unlikely to break at the seams anytime soon.

This is my third. It’s great, so slim, smooth in the pocket, looks great and it holds SO much more than you’d expect. My only reservation is that, well it’s my third for a reason. After a couple of tests the first two failed when the ‘pop-up’ elastic came detached. But I still bought exactly the same thing as a replacement. Twice!

Before this I had a very large purse which held everything from money, cards, makeup, cigarettes, my mobile, a nail clipper, chewing gum and so on... It was so large it could double up as a clutch bag. I got to the point where I'd become sick of dragging such a large wallet around all the time so I researched small card wallets that would hold all the cards I need. I looked at many much cheaper wallets, but they all seemed larger than they needed to be, or didn't have RFID blocking ca[abilities, or were made from cheap looking PU instead of leather. I decided to pay the extra to get what I hoped would be a quality product and I haven't been disappointed so far. I've been using the wallet for around a month now. So far I keep my driving license, Oyster card and three bank cards in this wallet, though I am lead to believe that the wallet can fit a minimum of five more cards. The middle pocket is protected by RFID blocking fabric so I don't need to worry about my details being stolen. Both the outer pockets are standard so I can keep my Oyster card in the outer pocket and use it for the underground without having to remove it from the holder. The middle pocket has a handy magnetic pull tab that pops the cards out so they're easy to access. It is simple but works brilliantly. It's made from great quality soft leather and looks very smart, and fits in jeans pockets or in bags with ease (even those silly small pockets they put in women's jeans). I combine it with a money clip to hold my notes and just keep chance in a pocket or in my bad (though maybe I need to invest in a change pouch just to finish the set). All in all - wonderful!

Its a very nice slim and compact card holder. It looks smart and feels well made. This is great for anyone who doesn't like a bulky wallet. I would say its worth choosing this over some of the cheaper options for its quality and functionality.

I looked at lots of wallets ideally wanting something that would be light in weight , small in size and would fit in the front pocket of jeans , I wanted to carry 3/4 Cards (you could fit in more) and a limited amount of cash like £40 in 3 notes for emergency's ie when the card machine isn't working or you really need cash I had a Ridge wallet in mind and looked at both but in my opinion the Vaultskin was lighter , insignificant in my pocket / slimmer, where the ridge was thicker by design and heavier and not so easy to use or carry cash completely hidden if it was fast moving it would be ok but as a back up it was exposed to see and curls / dirty the edges of the cash in places, I ordered the grain effect finish in the Vaultskin which I think may not crease as much as smooth but did be-grudge the additional cost of about £10 (you don't see the bargain afterwards and I preferred the finish ), for me I would still take cash notes with me in my pocket for the pub , but my opinion is its a card holder very easy to use compared to the Ridge and no fiddling getting the cards out with the pull strap , again it is a cash back up only , the more cards you add may make it looser if you then stopped carrying as many in the future, just one small fault the single card holder near the pull strap isn't RFID protected and it is very difficult to get that card out when it is fully loaded but would be ok for a rarley used card like a store card or driving licence I MUST SAY IF IT MEETS YOUR NEEDS BUY IT, IT'S EXCELLENT one of my best buys for this year

Love this wallet. Feels great in the hand. Is very small and you won't notice it in your pocket. I currently have 6 cards and a few cardboard coffee vouchers in it with no problems. The only flaw is that the front slot has the pull tab and this gets in the way when you take the card out. 4.5* Bought this to replace an older foldable wallet I had for a long time. I specifically wanted something very small and thin. This fits the bill perfectly. It comes in a nice box so it's a brilliant gift idea. It has one minor problem: if you put a card in the front slot where the elastic pull is it's a bit difficult to get the card out again. So I have used that for things I use infrequently.

I love this wallet and have had it for a year now. First thing I loved was the leather, it smells,looks, and feels so authentic. I can tell this a wallet that will age nicely. Second things is the card holder, it's such a reliable pulling mechanism. I have 6 cards in it and I never worry about the cards falling out they feel very tight and secure. The two other pouches are good for some cash you can fold and place inside for emergencies or important peices of paper. Why I got this wallet?: I never put anything in my back pocket, so my wallet will always be on me in my left front pocket. So I needed that wallet to be slim and comfortable. I don't need to carry change but I do need to be able to carry some cash at all times. Looks matter too! I don't want some plastic, nylon, or fabric child looking crap. I got to be proud to slap that thing on a table along side all my other EDC. This wallet does all the above and for a price that is well worth it. 6 Year Update!!!!: This has held up beautifully (provided some photos). Look at how well the leather has aged; scuffs, darkness, and very supple. I did not baby this thing. The pull tab is still completely functional. I wonder if 6 years later (today) they still make this wallet as good as when I bought this one. I think I'll need to buy a replacement in case the company stops selling it just in case I need a replacement whenever this one decides to tap out. Yet currently it's showing no signs of failure. 7 Year Update: So it accidentally went into the washing machine with my jeans and believe it or not it was fine and held up. However the pull tab gave out a month later and although the wallet is still functional without it I decided to buy a replacement (same one). Last photo is comparison of old and new. It's crazy how great the age made mines looked not too mention how supple the leather gets. The pull tab I also noticed has alot of more tension in it. I guess it lossed that with age but both are good. Its harder to pull the new wallet tab.

This wallet is so compact to hold 4-5 cards, and some few cash(notes) . It’s so compact and comfortable. Little over priced . The quality of the leather is good though.

Summary: Great wallet for anyone, perfect for me. I've been using it for 2 months now. Easy to carry in the front pocket of your slim fit jeans, looks exactly like in the pictures, very elegant. I recommend this wallet if you don't use much cash, ideally if you only carry 3 bills with you, and if you can reduce the amount of cards you carry to 10 or less, including ID and memberships. I keep rarely used cards in the car (like membership cards that I use once a month). The down side: the card kept in the front pocket is hard to pull out because the "smart strap" above it stops it from sliding out if you use your thumb to drag it out with friction. You have to use your index finger get a grab along with your thumb, that way you can raise it and pull it out; that's not an option if you have chubby fingers. You can also pull the "smart strap" and hold it up with your left thumb, then with your right thumb you pull the card out with friction. Neither option is confortable enough to keep your most used card in there, but you can use it though, it's not a deal breaker. About the amount of cards it can hold. I keep exactly 10 cards in my wallet: 4 credit cards, ID, License, Memberships, among others. I keep 2 cards on back pocket, another card on front pocket (less frequently used), and 7 cards in the middle pocket (including 4 credit cards which are thicker than normal because of the raised numbers). So far it hasn't stretched and the cards remain in place even when I hold the wallet upside down; If I shake it while upside-down the cards do slowly come out, but there's no scenario in real life where you put your wallet upside down, holding it on the sides to avoid having a grip of the cards inside, and shaking it. About the leather. It is high quality leather, I really recommend you buy this one instead of cheaper $10-15 dollars options because of this. It is showing signs of wear, but in quality leather wallets like this one, that only adds to its beauty. Regular (bigger) wallets get worse in less time, because the corners start to bend, plus the friction of pulling a bulky wallet out of your tight pockets damage further the leather. About the "smart strap" and middle pocket. I quote "smart strap" because it's a simple elastic strap which retracts back to its place when released. It's easy to pull, it has a good grip and gets the job done. The middle pocket is easy to use, you can put the most used cards on front and back of cards in middle pocket, that way it's a matter of: pulling the strap, pulling the card, pushing the rest back into the pocket. You do have to spread the cards to get the one you need in the middle, but again, not difficult, not messy and really, how many times a day you use each one of your 10 cards. You can organize it so the top 4 most used cards get really accessible. About the RFID protection. The middle pocket is RFID protected, and works as advertised, I tried using my subway card with the RFID reader and it didn't work, I had do pull the card half-way out of the middle pocket so it could read it. I tried putting the card in the front pocket, weirdly enough it didn't read it. I tried it with the card inside my old wallet and it read it inmediately. They claim only the middle pocket is RFID protected but in my experience, the front pocket also was protected. Don't take my word for granted here, perhaps my case is an exception, perhaps the back pocket isn't protected and there you can keep your RFID card, and perhaps it was a one time event, but the wallet in the middle pocket is consistent because I've tried it several times on different readers, including my work RFID reader. I'll get back here with an update after 5 months. Let's hope for the best.
