Duramax CAT Adapter with 1R-0750, Bleeder Screw & Spacer

Simple and easy install on 2006 LBZ, this adapter and filter is from Xtream Diesel Performance in Arizona, go on there wedsite and download the install instructions so you can have a leak free install, im a diesel mechanic by trade and like to use good ole Vasoline to lube up my seals and o'rings where oil is recomended, I snugged up my adapter using a filter wrench and put the filter on hand tight, make sure to prime the new filter using the air bleed screw just like you would your OEM filter, I ran the truck for 5mins to insture there was no air pockets and away I went, all you need is a screwdriver, 12mm wrench and 1/2" wrench to do the job, the rest is up to you, enjoy and keep your dirtymax happy.

This filter upgrade was super easy to install. I always use hotshot edt when I full up which disperses any water in the fuel, so I was not worried about losing the water sensor from the stock filter. My mileage has gone up by about 2 mpg and I like that I am now filtering the fuel at 2 microns. It’s also a bonus that the cat filters are cheaper than stock.

On a 2016 lml install was kinda tricky at first but took 45 min to get installed and running. Already 10,000 miles on the new filter with no leaks Problems or check engine lights and fuel mpg went up 2 mpg. now I don’t have to remove the black carpet wheel well on my truck because it’s so much longer than the stock filter, and you also unplug a sensor in the install and don’t use again, No check engine light at all and runs amazing.

biggest problem with the install was removing the factory inner wheel wheels. other than that it was no problem,

Bolts would not go in my LB7 04 model for the spacer! That's ok to still fits without it! I love the comfort I get knowing this filter is better than any autozone special! I know this will keep my injectors clean and lasting way longer.

This is one of the best upgrades I have made to my truck, much better filtration and fuel flow. The only advice I have to give is when installing the adapter plate to lube all threads and o-rings with diesel fuel or engine oil, and don’t overly tighten the fuel filter (like 99% of people do). I couldn’t recommend this cat adapter enough.

The item came quickly, the instructions were easy to follow, and it was a cheap upgrade to help out my lb7 Duramax.I had a couple issues that I resolved on my own. First, the filter arrived already attached to the adapter. The instructions clearly states not to install it like this. Second my kit came with 6 bolts, but two pairs were kind of the same, I don't know what the difference was, but it was there size I didn't need anyways.These were not an issueI like the upgrade, I like the filter (some other kits come with a yellow filter, but it's not a genuine CAT), it was easy to do and only took maybe an hour total, including clean up.

Installed spacer just fine instructions were easy and clear. Went to screw on adapter and the threads were not the right pitch. I attempted multiple times but would not seal up. Bled system and fuel leaked down. Went to auto parts store and bought factory filter went right on. Turned a 30 min job into a couple hours.

Bought this for my 2007 LMM duramax. Was easy to install. Works great so far with no issues.

This works but if you don’t tighten the living crap out of the adaptor it leaks like a sieve.
