The Raleigh Lily 24 is always game for adventures around the neighborhood, exploring easy dirt trails, and even splashing through a mud puddle or two. When kids are ready for a 24 inch bike, the Lily 24 will keep them motivated and having fun. A twist shifter makes finding the right gear easy. Knobby 1. 95 inch tires provide grip on dirt paths and add some mountain bike style. The Raleigh Jr. Mountain saddle and soft PVC grips have grown-up style, but they are designed to fit the proportions of a growing child. Help kids get outside and keep 'me riding happy on the Lily 24.

Bought this for my 6yo daughter who graduated from a 16" bike - many caveats with this bike!
I was on the fence about spending a lot on "premium" lightweight 20" bike with multiple gears. I looked at the Priority 20, woom 4 but those bikes had long lead times for delivery (I'm sure from china with CV-19 delay)...that said, I looked at Dicks for similar bikes with better price points...I think getting a bike that small with a front suspension fork is pointless and adds more weight to the bike as I lifted a bike to check the weight and it was around if not over 30 lbs...for a 45 lb child, that's going to be really heavy.I saw the Lily 20 on Amazon prime and it fit the bill - 6 rear gears with a rigid fork and the price is right and Amazon has a payment plan to split it payments up over 5 payments interest free! There are some caveats about this bike - that don't quite make it a deal breaker, but I need to call them out:1) The box had instructions but as other posters noted - no information on how to adjust the rear derailleur. Luckily I have built a road bikes and mountain bikes in my day so not an issue for me but I am sure this may be problematic for others...but adjusting all these parts can be found on youtube.2) I have yet to weigh the bike, but it feels like it weighs 1.5 lb heavier than advertised towards the back of the bike.3) The front handlebar is going to be too low and too far forward for smaller children. My child is almost 48" tall and she complained about having to stretch too far forward...this is a comfort concern and safety issue if they have to maneuver out of the way or slam on the brakes to control the bike. I ended up getting a riser handlebar to raise up the grips/brake levers and she loves the bike now. Maybe in two more years I will re-install the OEM handlebars once she gets taller.4) As with other grip-twist shifts - for small children they might be able to upshift to higher gears, but my 6yo needs to stop then use two hands to downshift as it requires more force to open up the rear derailleur. This becomes an issue if they need to quickly lower the gear to climb a steep hill. Their small hands will get stronger with age.5) The bike I got had a bend in one spoke on the rear wheel, probably from packaging. Not an issue for now because the rim does spin true.6) The rear tire looks like it has an exposed small aluminum rash on it about 2mm long. The tire holds 60psi easily but not sure why there would be aluminum beneath the rubber. I'm hoping to be able to keep the bike since my kid really wanted to ride it and just get a replacement tire from the vendor.7) The rear wheel hub along with the 6-speed cassette is not smooth spinning. I'm hoping this improves with breaking in.8) No kickstand - somehow little kids love their kickstands but you can find these for cheap on amazon.3* for now. I will post a long term review after 6 months of use.

Love the bike, Poor customer service
Received this bike and also a Raleigh Rowdy 20 for grandchildren's birthdays. They are very nice looking and seem to be good quality bikes. Both bikes came without brackets to attach the reflectors to as shown in the installation guide. I contacted Raleigh directly they said they should have been in the parts box, I assured him they were not in either. They refused to send any, saying they do not have parts. Told me to go to a local bike shop and buy someI

Great bike
Took 30 minutes to assemble this bike. Overall I am pleased with the bike. One point to note , the handle is kind of stretch forward for my 8 year old girl. Unfortunately the height of the handle bar is not adjustable. I know she will grow taller by next year so that should be an issue. I am hoping that this bike can last for at least 4 years before she is out grown. As for the color it is more towards yellowish compare what is shown in the picture.

Assembly is not easy
It is nice looking bike. My daughter loves it.However, compare to other brand that i have purchased for my other kids, this is the hardest to assembly. The instruction is not useful, it is just giving general information not specifically for the bike. No details. Also, I had to adjust everything, front and back breaks, handle post, not clear on handle rotation.I even need to adjust the gear box with shifting gears.

Poor instruction
I received 2 instruction manuals but both are not for this bike. No, idea where left over parts go to.Reflectors mounts are not designed for a best location.Pedals look cheap and hard to thread. No ideas how to raise the handle bar and it was reassembled but not aligned.Price is too high for the quality.

Great first Girl bike without training wheels
A good friend bought a raleigh bike for his son. When my daughter was about to turn 6, she asked for a bike without training wheels. So I asked my friend and he highly recommended this brand for it durability and solid construction. It took me about 20 minutes to put the bike together when it arrived in the box. My daughter is still learning to ride it, and I am very happy with the bike so far.

Very light, great quality for price.
Great bike, very light and sturdy, my daughter loves it! Love the fact that it only has a rear derailleur. It’s hard for kids to manage the front derailleur without the chain falling off.
