Great effect...but store carefully.
I purchased the silver powder, 1 oz with mixing liquid included. It is easy to apply and looks great, gives a nice smooth metallic look without streaking. This size will suffice if you're doing only faces for a few people, but if you're using it for body paint, I would suggest buying at least two, maybe more. Comes off very easily with soap and water, or you can use make-up removing wipes. One caveat....once the liquid and powder are mixed, I'd advise you not to store them that way in a closed bottle. Years ago, Mehron used to sell their metallic powder makeup pre-mixed, the liquid and powder were in the same bottle, you just shook it up and it made a terrific face makeup. I loved the stuff, had both the silver and the gold, and used it for several different costumes/occasions. One morning I woke up, and, in my nearsighted way, noticed that there was a big dark streak of SOMETHING across my white ceiling. I put on my glasses and saw that it was in fact my gold Mehron makeup, which had been sitting on my dresser. I looked around and found the plastic bottle in TWO HALVES a few feet away. It had blown apart, with enough force for the contents to have reached the ceiling...and not just the top flying off, this was split raggedly across the center. I have no idea how this happened at all, let alone so quietly as not to wake me. It is entirely possible that Mehron has changed the chemical composition of their makeup since then, but when I see that it's now sold as separate components, it occurs to me that it might be why. So to be on the safe side, I never store the two parts mixed.

Silver Screen Dream!
We took part in a costume contest / mystery solving game around town. We were a 1920's detective agency movie crew transported to a present day crime through the discovery of an object found at the scene (a cellphone). I used this product to appear as if I walked right off the "Silver Screen" and into the action. The Mehron Makeup Powder mixed with the Mehron Mixing Liquid provided the perfect pallet for this vintage look. It was easy to apply, did not crack or run and was super long lasting. It took a good scrub or two to get it all off, but totally worth it. My only complaint was that it was a bit too shiny and not easily matted, but it did the trick just the same. And our team won the Best Dressed award because of it, so thank you!! Great product, will definitely purchase for any future cosmetic costuming needs!

Great product - classic silver metallic
Wow, this stuff is metallic! It is not holographic shiny, but it is a classic, silver metallic. I mixed as directed, little by little, and applied it to my skin with a paintbrush. No breakouts, stayed on all night, only cracked a little (like on my face, below my eyes, where I'd smile and the skin would move a lot). Great product, okay price point. It looks like a small bottle but after covering both my forearms and half my face, I still had well over half the powdered product left. I love Mehron stage makeup products!

AMAZING
The first pic is right after application. The second pic is 9 hours later and after trick-or-treating in the rain with my kids. This stuff is amazing. A little goes a lonnnng way. It was easy to apply, didn’t run when it rained, didn’t irritate my skin, literally just felt like powder and not like the normal cakey makeup, and washed off very easily. I still have most of it left. Would definitely recommend!!

Amazingly effective.
I can't rave about this enough. But I can try. TL;DR: when carefully applied, it's waterproof silver on the skin and won't come off until you want it to. The shaker-lid is kinda useless. Carefully pry it out, then save the dust that was stuck to it. Use a very tiny spoon (steal some “sample” spoons from an ice-cream shop) or just use your brush to transfer powder to your palette (I use the lid from a spaghetti-sauce jar). For a full adult male chest and back, that's about a light dusting over the entire jar lid; not even ¼ of the powder. Cut a pair of tiny slits into the safety-seal on the liquid and drip it in. It's amazing to watch the sparkly, glittery powder instantly turn into a puddle of mercury. I've been applying this over moisturizer and a makeup primer, in a very thin coat, then as it starts to dry on the skin, going back over any edges that might have been too thin. Generally, though, one coat will do you. After applying, wait until it's mostly dry, then use some Mehron fixing powder — the gloss may go back a notch, from “mercury” to “stainless steel,” but it's worth it — and once that's been brushed all over, spray lightly with a binder spray. Done like that, the silvery finish remains bright, metallic, and does not transfer off even in Florida summer heat and sweat (it's not the 86°F weather, it's the 98% relative humidity), and survives: • light rubbing • clothes contact (cotton, &c) • being thrown into a (salt-based) swimming pool • rain While repeated rubbing or harsher materials (eg: elastic waistbands) will erode it, the metal finish will stay in place in the shower. Just add some dish soap or shower soap, however, and it pretty much instantly dissolves; it'll wash clean with just soap and fingers, no need to scrub and loofah — although it may take a little careful washing to avoid leaving faint, greyish patches, particularly on the face.

Very good product.
This stuff worked great! applied easily and kept me looking silver all night. The only issue I have is that it flakes off constantly. The flakes stick to everything. That might have been because i kept it on too long (6 hours). Even with the flakes coming off I still remained silver.

Exactly What We Needed
We bought this to use instead of a mask for a cyborg costume. It worked perfectly! It was so easy to mix with the liquid and paint on with a small paintbrush. It went on smooth and stayed on all day, even through dancing and sweating. Even better, it really does come off with soap and water! It also comes out of clothing easily. I discovered that you can get several different looks by changing the concentration of powder - it can look like heavy metal or a light silver coating. You can even just rub the powder onto your skin for a gray effect with a silver sheen. We let the metal coat dry and then added details with a black eyeliner pencil. I recommend spraying the finished makeup with a setting spray to lock it all in place. In one of our test runs we didn't use the setting spray and the metal started shedding tiny silver flakes. The flaking didn't affect the look of the makeup on the face at all, it just looked like silver dandruff on the shoulders. Overall, I'd say this is one of the easiest special effects makeup products I've worked with. I would definitely recommend it to anyone.

INCREDIBLE
So I NEVER post reviews (which is actually lame bc I rely on reviews so much, I’m just scatterbrained and forget) but this stuff was so incredible that I have to. I was the silver surfer for Halloween and bought this based off reviews. Holy cow it did NOT disappoint and I thought I’d run out but I don’t think I even used half. I painted my neck/hands/ankles too! The key is to do one layer at a time/don’t over lap and let it dry—it only takes a few minutes. Then do another, I think I did three? It didn’t rub off on ANYTHING and stayed on all night and came off easily in the shower. Seriously it didn’t rub off at ALL

Awesome stuff and probably just as good as illamasqua and inglot or whateva
Works awesome. Decently waterproof. I have yet to experiment with replacing the water with it in my water activated liner, but I bet it would do a good job. I just wanted the mixing agent to use for turning eyeshadow into liners and to revitalize my dry brow pomade which it did a decent job of, the added silver pigment was just a bonus to me but now I want to paint my whole body silver for funsies.
