Lights do have tendency to burn out. Got these because of price and light is bright when done Good to have.

Easy install and did not have to pay over $800.00 for a control unit. Is brighter than original bulbs.

I didn’t have to modify nothing managed to get them in the right way the first time hvac is so much brighter now it’s awesome

My Review of the HERCOO LED Climate Control Bulbs Before you install these little rascals, there are a few things you should know. They can work great, but taking a few minutes to check them first can save you a lot of frustration. First, these LEDs are polarity sensitive. If you install one backwards, it will not light — and once installed, it can be harder to remove than you might expect. Before removing the original bulb, do yourself a favor: use a DMM (digital multimeter) to measure the contacts on the back of the factory bulb/socket and determine which side is positive (+). Mark that side before you remove anything. That gives you a reference when installing the new LED. Next, check the HERCOO LED itself and determine which contact is positive. I marked the positive side of each LED before installation. Then I installed it with the positive side matching the positive side I had already marked on the socket. I used a 12 VDC power supply to test the LEDs on my workbench, but a 12-volt battery will work too. This lets you confirm both the polarity and that the LED actually works before putting it into the climate-control panel. One more important point: make sure the dash-light dimmer is turned up when testing the new LEDs. If the dimmer is turned down to <9.5 VDC, the LED may not light properly, and you could easily think you received a bad bulb. My advice: test first, mark the positive side, and then install. It takes only a few extra minutes and can save you from having to remove these little LEDs after putting them in backwards. I learned this the hard way — hopefully this review saves someone else the trouble.
