Great product!
This Missouri Tactical Products recoil pad is exactly what I wanted. It fits perfectly on my 9mm KelTec Sub 2000 buttstock without any screws or bolts or cutting. The latch and stock pin are still accessible. The folding feature is not compromised at all. It went on with minimal effort and can be removed just as easily, but stays in place like you need it to. The material is firm enough and absorbs some recoil. Much more comfortable than the bare stock. I like that it gives me a little bit more length on the stock and a consistently better fit into my shoulder pocket. I chose the Sub2000 because of its portability, versatility and affordability. Now it is a little more comfortable to shoot at a minimal cost.

Works great added grip reduces recoil jump
Fits dang near perfect, better than expected. It’s a nice cushy and grippy design so it helps reduce felt recoil and also lets you control the recoil better because you can actually grip the stock against your shoulder without it wanting to slip out on the slippery plastic stock. Definitely recommend this one over some other options for the ease of install, price and functionality and with Amazon you get the best shipping. I just wish I could find a 3d print design similar that I could have made myself lol.

One of 3 Must-Have upgrades for the Sub2000
I just received this and have not shot my wife's 9mm Sub2000 using this product. That said, felt recoil reduction of any amount is always a good thing, especially for my small framed wife. The Sub2000 is fantastic in many ways and there are trade offs when picking this gun over others. I don't find that this accessory takes anything away from the positive aspects of this weapon. The recoil pad is not too heavy. I find that it helps the overall balance since the weapon is slightly front end heavy. The factory stock is slippery and narrow. This makes it slightly bigger and far from obnoxious. What I really like is that it has a slightly tacky texture similar to someone using Summer Tires vs All Season on a sports car. You put the stock to your shoulder and it feels great and won't easily slip out of place. You can pull the weapon into your shoulder and it feels great. Let some pressure off and it can stay in place without slipping down. The texture and horizontal grooves make this possible. There are open air gaps that compress, which gives in slightly and helps with felt recoil. They don't give too much or too little. They did this thing right! The manufacture of this product says it will help with muzzle rise. I can't say, but why not... The Sub2000 still opens and closes the same. Installation is easy: just slip it on. I don't see an issue with it ever falling off, but if it can, just use a wire tie and thread it through the opening and around. I don't see that being an issue, but there is a fix if you are concerned. I guess you could use blue Loctite but that is overkill. I'm sure it won't come off. I can't think of a single negative. If it does not perform well after shooting it, I'll be sure to make it known. In case you want to know the other two upgrades I think are Must Haves, they are a charging handle upgrade and adding a rubber sleeve to the recoil tube. Other things are nice, but this is a Must Have. UPDATE: My wife and I both shot her Sub2000 using this and we both enjoyed it very well. I liked it so much I bought a second Sub2000 for myself. I shot mine without the recoil pad and I came back to buy another because it makes a BIG difference. I've shot a 12-guage I don't know how many times, so the Sub2000's kick pails in comparison, but this pad makes shooting it so much more enjoyable and controllable too.

Fantastic pad, but I received a defective one and am being charged to replace it
Many owners won't admit it, but the SUB 2K has a recoil slightly stronger than an AR-15 because of the blow back system and the heavy bolt. MCARBO has several accessories to deal with this, but their pad is not one of them. It's hard, looks like crap and you have to actually drill holes in your gun to attach it. I’ve had the MCARBO M-SERIES SUB 2000 with all the bells and whistles for several years, but it didn’t include their butt-pad (thank goodness) and I gave up looking for a decent one long ago. Browsing through the defense cache in my safe, I picked up my SUB and thought it might be time to see if anything new had popped up since I last looked and I found this guy. The convex shape and the kind of ribbed and almost pointy design of the SUB's hard butt can make firing it a bit uncomfortable after a long session at the range. This pad changes the odd design of the SUB 2000’s butt to a slightly vertical convex shape which somehow makes for a better fit when shouldering. The pad is ribbed as well of course, but since it's rubber and not hard polymer, is designed to give and is softer it eliminates the discomfort of the naked stock’s butt. It slightly lengthens the stock of the little weapon about five eighths of an inch at the highest point in the center of the pad, is plenty firm with the right amount of cushion, doesn’t interfere with the folding feature, is easily installed without modifying the weapon, should reduce felt recoil and muzzle jump, is aesthetically pleasing, does not conflict with adjusting stock length, it fits well and doesn’t fall off and it improves control of the SUB even more by stabilizing the butt’s placement on your shoulder because it has better grip than a naked butt. I really really like this pad. Unfortunately, the one I received had a defect. CAUTION! I never got to fire my SUB with this pad because the one I received was defective. It easily slid onto the butt of my rifle, but when I went to take pictures for this review I noticed a small tear in one corner. Assuming this pad is intended to endure the riggers of repeatedly firing a weapon, I determined that this tear must be due to a manufacturing defect. No way should have this little tear develop just sliding the pad onto the butt of the rifle. Now I'm being required to either pay for shipping or drive a 30 mile round trip to the nearest UPS store in order to return it which doesn't seem right. In the past, I was able to schedule UPS to come to my home to pick up defective items. Because of the inconvenience, I plan on buying a replacement for the same price and free shipping direct from Kel-Tec and just keeping this one for an emergency back up. (That I'll never need I'm sure.) Update: I had to go into town to get my car inspected anyway so as long as I was there I implemented the return and replacement of the pad and dropped the bad one off at UPS at no cost to me. I got the replacement and slid it on to the butt of the stock from the bottom up with no issue. Unlike many pads (including the mcarbo pad) that LOOK like addons, this one looks like it belongs there. The replacement pad I received does not appear to be defective and just plain looks great! Everything said in the first part of my review still applies. If my first pad hadn't been defective then I would have gone five stars. Because I'm so impressed with the replacement my rating went from one to four stars.
