I installed and put 12 miles on these tires today, size 26 x 1.75. The conditions ranged from sheet ice, to hard packed snow on top of ice, as well as bare road. The ride started up a steep hill on a quiet country road that quickly turned into bare ice, and packed snow on top of ice as the road becomes tree shaded. It was pretty scary passing onto the ice from the bare road for the first time, I focused on smooth inputs and balance fearing a slip as the road has a steep camber and I was going uphill. You'll soon realize that everything is under control, and be able to relax and hear the studs gripping the ice, and responding to steering inputs without anything terrible happening. It is pretty incredible how effective these tires are. I live in snow country and have studded snow tires on my vehicles, but have a new found respect for them after riding 2 wheels on ice. The manufacturer recommends 25 miles on bare road to set the studs, but if you simply inspect all the studs before installing the tires you can see and correct any studs that might not be installed all the way in, just push them in with the tip of a needle nose pliers or similar tool. I inspected the tires when I returned and still have all the studs. I highly recommend. I'm running them at 28 PSI to start, will go down to 25 PSI no issues, no where near a pinch flat threat, I'm around 200 lbs, suited up ready to ride.

Luv em they don't help at all when the roads are greasy with soft sandy snow but when the roads are frozen and hard packed they work awesome
