This is a brilliant piece. Its capacity is just right for a family of 4-5.The heat distribution is perfect, food does not stick easily unless you burn what you're cooking, the lid fits nicely for even and good pressure heating.I dont clean it in the dishwasher and prefer to handwash. Cleaning up is easy.Using it since three months now.Bit heavy but the cooking and cleaning up pleasure balances it out!

Perfect one meal pan. It is deep enough to keep ingredients in when mixing and sautéing. And is dishwasher safe. Easy cooking and easy clean up.

Size and weight used for cooking

This is a really nice pan, it seems to heat evenly and is easy to clean. My only complaint is that the picture shows and the description mentions a helper handle, which wasn't on the pan I received.

These are the best and this sauté pan is a must have. We have had Calphalon for over 20 years and they are the greatest.

Calphalon is STILL selling their products with a KNOWN defect regarding their lids. As you can see in the photo, this is what happens when you use a lid that doesn't have the black rubber seal inside. The yellow water inside the lid happened after simmering tomato sauce for approx. 20 minutes. There is supposed to be a black rubber seal/O-Ring where you see the water sitting. The seal keeps moisture from entering the inside of the lid. This is the third time I've had to contact them regarding this! After two-years, they continue to tell me that they are aware of the issue and are addressing it, but they keep selling these items/sets to the consumer. For the price this company sells these for, you would expect them to address this quickly. Not only is the lid worthless, as the water remains in the lid for days, but it is also very unsanitary! I've decided not to purchase Calphalon in the future, as they obviously care very little regarding this issue. If you decide to purchase from them, make sure you check ALL the lids to make sure they have the black seal/O-Ring inside the lid. It's very easy to see. If you see a gap/empty space like you can see in the photo, take it back. But don't be surprised if the retailer tells you they will NOT take it back and that you have to deal with Calphalon. Not blaming the seller for this...

Exactly the size for which I was looking. I didn't want a 5 qt or larger so this 3 qt fits the bill exactly. Pan is quite heavy but the helper handle solves the problem. Heats up evenly and after I switch the burner off, food remains hot for quite a while. Very satisfied...but of course...it's Calphalon!

This was a replacement for a pan that got damaged after fifteen years of constant use. Calphalon pans are simply the greatest. My old pan was just like new until someone used a sharp knife to cut what was in the pan. Needless to say someone aka husband is not allowed near my pans anymore.

I am very happy with the pan. I was looking to replace a pan of the same volume with a calphalon pan I purchased about 15 yrs earlier. The older pan was a bit deeper and had a rounded bottom. I expect that I will learn to like this one too but just not as much at the moment
