Cree DRDL6-11027009-12DE26-1C100 6 in. TW Series 85W Equivalent High Brightness Soft White (2700K) Dimmable Led Retrofit Recessed Downlight

I've had extremely great results from Cree products at home and at my business. I bought these to replace units I had bought in 2013 for my kitchen simply looking to get more lumens aka brighter. The temperature color is perfect, not yellow but not too white giving a great feel in a home setting. The brightness is very much noticed over the previous units which were 65 watt equivalent where these are 85 watt consuming the same power. They were also smart by making the socket on a wire setup where the old design was part of the light housing. This makes it much more flexible for various installs. Also kept the same exterior design from the ones in 2013 which look great and have held up well.

Very nice Cree TW high CRI 85 watt series recessed can light for a my kitchen/baths. I tried the Feit equivalents from Costco first, since they are much cheaper. Unfortunately, they hummed with a Lutron CFL/LED dimmer, used more power(per spec sheet) and light color quality just does not look as good at the Cree. The Cree colors just look slightly cleaner. However both lights are rated CRI 90+. YMMV, but I guess I liked the CREE colors trade-offs over the Feit. Feit just has a yellow cast over everything.Also, the Cree uses spring clips that are much easier to install with a tighter seal with my older can light fixtures.Note: I did try the Cree TW 65 series light and it hummed like the Feit. Colors of both Cree's beat the Feit. I suggest getting the Cree 85 watt series and using a dimmer. In my use, all LED bulbs were too bright for normal use if you multiple cans in a location.

Bought these and installed less then a month ago and one is burned out, can't find contact info so having to return all. Ashame what a inconvenience

I like the product but Amazon has a purchase restriction limit of 3 units. So this product is only useful if you have 3 or less lights in your house. I unfortunately have 6. I like this particular wattage and color though.If you want to use with dimmer make sure and check compatibility. This one works for my dimmer which is big reason I like this version of the light.There is a newer version that is higher wattage (but same lumens as this) but is incompatible with my dimmers.

I have been running about 30 of these for 12 months now and have not had any issues. Installation is easier than the traditional style spring loaded recessed light clips. These are also brighter than the average 5"/6" LED recessed retrofits that are commonly found in the big box stores.

I order 3 each time I order. Almost have them all haha. This works with my dimmer. I purchased the 100 watt version and it did not work with my dimmer, i have multiple fixtures per dimmer. I replaced 1 of each light in each cluster with 1 of these and it allowed the others to function with the dimmer. Was a cost saving hack, and the light output is negligible. You can't even tell. So save your money and stick to the 85w replacement.

Wish the color temperature was warmer when dim

A friend told me about these. Bought two of them from Home Depot to try them out. 85 watts is super bright. Loved them. Just bought a new house and the hi hats I have all have a yellow tint to them. Bought one for every light in the house now. About 16-18 in all. Led saves power, has better lighting more white than yellow.Couldn't be happierBryce
