Excellent black beans that help enhance your cooking!
These black beans are like all Bush's products as they are top quality. We like black beans in several of our meals as they are a good source of protein and fiber while containing no cholesterol at all. We stopped eating refried beans with our Mexican food meals that we prepare as they are so many other ingredients in some of them that they are not as healthy. These black beans go great with many types of meals like:* Ingredients in tacos* Burritos* Quesadas* Salads* Mashed as a side* Mixed in with rice* Or as a side item on their ownWe like them and they are better for you than many other side items you can have. I have included photos of the can and of the nutrition label. Just be careful as ½ cup contains 20% of your daily sodium intake. This is a good product and I recommend it to you. This is a review of the product and not of the supplier or the price shown here.

Always liked Bush's beans
They taste great. Almost like from scratch. Good for you, protein without the meat. Will buy more. Plus save on gas.

Incorrect Product Pictured
Please be aware, the picture is for the “seasoned” black beans but the description is actually for the regular black beans that are not seasoned.

Other brands are better
Very dissapointed--Bush Reduced Sodium Black Beans have much more liquid than most other brands. I ususally get the reduced sodium and Publix house brand and Goya have much less liquid. And--they are ususally the most expensive.

Truly the best
They aren't kidding when they call them Bush's Best Black Beans. I've tried all the grocery store brands and of top label brands and especially the generic beans, these are the best.....They do contain a little sodium so if you are salt-restricted, just rinse them well in a colander before using them.I eat these as a side dish with my homemade tacos, but my favorite way to use these is to puree them in a blender and mix them into my low-fat brownies Betty Crocker Low Fat Fudge Brownie Mix, 20.5-Ounce Boxes (Pack of 12)Try making these this way instead of according to the package.1 package of Betty Crocker Low Fat Fudge Brownie Mix1 - 15 to 16 oz. can of black beans (I've also used great northern beans & they turn out just as good)1 tablespoon waterPuree the beans (with their juice) in a blender or food processor. Puree them thoroughly, so they don't look like beans!Combine all ingredients, stir and bake according to the directions on the box. These are healthier as they are full of fiber from the beans. Don't tell anyone the brownies have beans in them or you won't get people to try them...but you will certainly get the compliments from these moist, tasty brownies.
