This complete kit comes with the brake lever, brake cable, 90 degree metal noodle, rubber anti-dirt boot, small metal protective cable cap for after you trim the brake line, rear brake arms with pads, and screws sporting blue loctite.Installation was very easy with one exception. The included mounting screws are quite long and bottomed out about a quarter inch before getting snug. I reused my previous screws vs cutting down the new.The brake line sleeve is 3 layers, thin plastic inner, tight metal coil for strength and flexibility, and thin plastic outer. I trimmed mine to length with a wire cutter, then ground down the coil's sharp edge.Brake action feels amazing now. Went from mushy grab, weak return to solid engagement with lever to spare.Very pleased with this purchase especially given the price point.

Brakes are great for the price, I'm learning how to wheelie and I can easily save myself from looping with a 1 finger pull. I'm also 6' 260 pounds lol the brake kit comes with a new brake cable too, I was not aware and ordered a red Odyssey slic cable but the one that comes with the brakes looks good as well!

I enjoy these brakes! I’ve been using them for 2 weeks and have had no complaints. These brakes stop on a dime, the brake lever is comfortable and feels high quality, and the build quality is extremely high. My only complaint would be for bigger bikes that use V-brakes I have a 29in wheel. and the brake cable with the black thingy nearly rubs maybe 2-4mm of space. The brake arms could be a bit longer overall awesome brakes. I'd say if you're looking for good brakes on a budget these would be a go-to!

A coaster brake and a banana seat was all the bike I had when I was a kid but my son's hand-me-down bike from a neighbor has full suspension and V-brakes. Or really V brake. There was only the rear brake on it when we got it. I couldn't imagine why a brake would care if it's mounted front or rear and I can tell you they don't. What does matter is the brake lever. I figured I could just flip it over and use it either side. Nope. So I stole the front brake lever off his old bike, used the cable jacket from the old bike and replaced the inner line. Works great but needed a good amount of fiddling. Watch youtube for correct set up. It's involved. I read some people complain the included bolts were too long but the Mongoose doesn't have blind holes so as long as the bolts don't hit the tire, all good.

I bought this kit to add a rear hand brake to my son's used BMX bike. The bike was sold with V-brakes installed but the previous owner discarded them, so the pegs for the brake arms were already there on the bike. The kit was easy to install and adjust, and the bike was up in running 20 minutes after getting the package in the mail. The packaging was very attractive, and the whole thing looks, feels and performs at a level above the price point that I paid.

I had to remove the brakes after finding the Tektro brakes had become sub-par after a decade of using them. I use Box or Promax now for the right amount of brake force and quality.

i have some more expensive brakes on my bike,my daughter had these on her bike and they actually work better than mine!
