usually the price difference is based on the quality and supply-demand. quality is measured by many factors, but mostly based on the type of UMF "factor" is a guarantee that it's "medicinal" quality. Think of the price difference compared to wine- type of grape, quality of grape, supply fluctuates based on many factors including weather that impacted the vine. These are just a few factors, not including type of bee, type of flowers the bee fed on.... I do recommend looking up what all the acronyms mean. Low numbers can be the difference between drinking honey (stuff you want to use in tea and not waste the good Manuka on) and the stuff you want to guard like a good bottle of wine.
