THE ULTIMATE BEE GEES is a double-disc career retrospective featuring the group's many hits and chart-topping singles, performances of a selection of hit songs they wrote for others, and liner notes by Tim Rice.Tim Rice's liner notes accompanying THE ULTIMATE BEE GEES puts the group's extravagant popularity into perspective. 'Within this package is a collection of performances and songs that very few practitioners of popular music of the past could match for quality, originality, and emotion. It's the singing, the harmonies, the arrangements, the sound, the rivalry, the love, the intelligence, the determination, but above all it's the songs.' Note: The play list has to be set to the ULTIMATE BEE GEES so that the tracks can appear in English.

Really is the Ultimate
Shortly before Robin passed away, I set out to collect everything Bee Gees I could get my hands on, and started with this. A lot of great reviews, which I won't try to duplicate. Just to say this is the best survey of Bee Gees music you're going to find anywhere. No, it doesn't replace the separate albums, especially the pre-Stayin' Alive days. But a very good reminder of how talented they were, what great songs they cranked out, and a very good starting place for anyone wanting to fall back in love with one of the hardest working groups or musicians and entertainers around. When everyone else was fading and losing stream, they kept on going right past mean spirited dee-jays and music business guys, past their top 40 shelf life, and right on into history as one of the longest lasting working bands in music history. I've gone on to purchase just about every album they released. Not a bum song on the set. If you want a greatest hits set, this one is it.

Can't stop listening to this!
Wow...talk about a fantastic mega collection of Bee Gees hits! I have not been able to stop listening to this two disc set since it arrived. Disc one is a high energy compilation of primarily the later hits. Its a party to go! You can't help wanting to get up and move to it, or sing along...especially if you listened to this music as it was released during the 70's - 90's. Nice addition of "This Is Where I Came In" towards the end, a killer track, to bring the group up to their last release in 2001, as well as a great live version of "Spicks and Specks", one of their first hits in the 60's. Disc two features the earlier material, the soulful ballads, and also includes three live tracks of songs written for others (all hits in their own right). It is a mellow, beautiful, romantic disc...again you can't help but sing along! The writing, the harmonies, the energy, the masterful skill of words and music of The Bee Gees...its all here. This is top quality performance and production...buy this!

The Consumate Bee Gees Anthology
I was in High School when the Beatles came to the USA in the early 1960's. Many more British rock groups followed them and enjoyed great success. The Bee Gees were one of those groups. The Bee Gees actually enjoyed success with two distinctly different styles. In the early days Robin Gibb was the lead singer and composer of their many hits. In the later days it was Barry Gibb with his unmistakable falsetto voice who sang their many hits during the second phase of their remarkable career. Both styles are completely captured in this composite collection. For those of us who remember all of their sings from when they were first released to those who have become acquainted with their music at a later date this collection has it all. So, in any case, you will not be disappointed but rather be glad that you purchased The Ultimate Bee Gees. Buy it and enjoy!

Best of Old and New Bee Gees
I like the Greatest Hits better as it reminds me of the 8-Track in our car going on summer vacations! However, this is a great compilation of old and new Bee Gee songs. I am a fan of the newer Disco 70's songs. If you are a fan of the earlier Beatles style songs they wrote and sang, this CD is for you! It's the best of both and great sound quality!

Label Confusion for The Ultimate Bee Gees (2 CD)
I just received The Ultimate Bee Gees (2 CD) and the packaging and CDs are marked with the Reprise Records logo along with their catalog number R2B521352. But as of March 2, 2014 Amazon is listing Rhino Records as the label on their web page.I realize that both Reprise and Rhino are sub-divisions of Warner but still what is up with the labeling? I am trying to make sure that these are the 2009 remasters. This album sounds better than any older Bee Gees album I have heard. Sound quality is much improved IMHO.Edit on 3/5/2014: I notified Amazon about the label discrepancy and they emailed me that they woill research it and make a correction if needed on the web site. Kudos to Amazon for having a responsive system that listens to their customers. Amazon is one good and impressive company. Congrats Jeff Bezos.
