Schlage is quality and reliability
I purchased the Schlage Century smart deadbolt for my front door and have been really happy with its performance. So purchasing this lock from Schlage was a no brainer when we installed a separate entrance door. Installation was super simple, same as the other smart lock. There are no smart features with this lock, no alerts or anything, but for what it is, it’s a great lock. The black looks super sleek, especially with our french door. I was a little concerned during install when I saw that the two handles sit at different heights (see picture) but everything has worked perfectly. No issues so far that other reviewers have mentioned so hopefully this one lasts a while.

Smart looking, easy install and simple to use
Smart looking lock, very easy to install and setup. Also easy to use.

Easy to install and program, destined to fail.
This is a great lock, however it is flawed. These locks are simple to install and simple to program and provide sufficient security for an internal use. The major flaw is the electric engagement actuator component. After as little as 6mths use this party fails. If you have no 2nd door to the room or storage area the lock is fitted to you will need to drill out the lock from the front as it does not have a key override. The price is low enough for me to keep reinstalling them when the fail but you have to accept that they will fail. You must take note of the two fitting screw locations as these need to be drilled out to remove the lock.
