I highly recommend these products!
Make sure that you perform the water drop test on the leather to see if the leather absorbs the water first. I really liked the Fiebing's Pro Dye, Resolene, and Leather Balm with Atom Wax! Be sure to use a tough pair of chemical rubber or vinyl gloves to keep the dye off of your hands!!! The instructions were not that good. Since I was very nervous about this attempt to dye the love seat, I will outline my procedure which worked great for me in hopes that it will help you. First, I mixed about 16 ozs. of 91% rubbing alcohol, about 16 ozs. of acetone, and about 5 ozs. of lemon juice in the yellow plastic squeeze bottle purchased at the grocery store. I used this to deglaze the leather so the dye could be absorbed into the leather - first photo. I purchased 32 ozs. of pro royal blue dye to do the love seat, [2] 4 oz. bottles of Neutral Resolene, and ]2]4 oz. bottles of Neutral Leather Balm with Atom Wax and had some left over for all of them. I then applied the first coat of royal blue oil dye. I applied it with paper towels in a circular motion to prevent streaking. I waited about one hour or so. I then used 91% rubbing alcohol to remove the excess dye - second photo. This removes the excess better than just rubbing briskly with a cloth which is very hard and difficult. I applied two more coats of dye following the same procedure of applying and removing the excess. I let it set for about a day. After this, some dye would still come off on a dry cloth when rubbed. I then applied a coat of Fiebing's Neutral Resolene to seal the dye. This worked great since it stopped the dye from coming off when rubbed with a dry cloth. I applied another coat or two of the Neutral Resolene. Thus it was finally finished - third photo!!! It was a lot of work but it was easy to apply and well worth the effort. I trust that your project will be as successful. I really recommend these products. After about a week, I applied a coat of Fiebing's Neutral Leather Balm with Atom Wax. One 4 oz. bottle of the Neutral Leather Balm with Atom Wax would be enough but it can be used for other leather seats, sofas, etc.

Color
Blue color is awesome and the oil likely helps with penetration. The leather remained flexible. It was a slightly darker blue than expected with a hint of purple (after the second dye coat) on my otherwise faded blue Doc Martens, but still awesome. After one coat of Resolene it was essentially black (no purple) unless in direct sunlight when the blue becomes visible. The deeply worn toe portions still appear black. I love it all the same! Highly recommended. Note that Resolene tends to darken the color, so start lighter if that's important to you. I did not bother to remove excess dye between coats, but I did clean the leather with 1/5 strength grape fruit cleaner followed by 70% alcohol. The Resolene definitely prevented any dye bleed. Highly recommended. Can't wait to try dark red.

Great product!
I absolutely love these alcohol based dyes compared to the water based ones. A small tip, if you spill any, it cleans up pretty well with rubbing alcohol. I decided to test this by spilling a massive puddle of the dye on my kitchen floor. My wife hardly noticed after I'd cleaned it up!

Rich color
Beautiful rich color. Applies easily. Although it seems that I used more of this on an item than I would of other dyes. It does seem to take a another cost or two for the rich color and coverage. The leathers seem to soak it up.
