Works and easy to install

What it is, a whole-house surge protector made by Eaton that fits in Eaton BR style main panels. It may fit in other brand panels as well but you should check. I have 2 of these in my home, one in the main panel and one in a sub panel. Give some peace of mind that if there is a big power surge this device will take the hit and not my new television. Super easy to install, but you need to be comfortable working with household electricity and panels. The other thing, Amazon has the best price by far for this item.

Just snap it in wire the neutral and your good to go.

Every house should have. If something outside at the pole is messed up, it can send more power down to your house and try everything.. this helps prevent that. This is a piece of mind and security blanket. Good quality and functional. Has a indicator light which is nice to see it work. Great value for the money compared to home Depot and Lowe's

Installed yesterday in house and barn breaker panels. Early this morning a big storm with a very close lighting strike. Lights flashed, all bluetooth electronics turned on. Everything electronic functioned properly after a reset. Same thing happened about two years ago and fried all my flat screen monitors and TVs (reenforced all grounds as corrective action). Cheep insurance and you get the well known "Eaton" name as a bonus.

Easy to install and gives peace of mind

I’m not sure this thing does anything. In my past experiences, a surge protector clamps the circuit so that a breaker trips therefore protecting all devices attached. I installed this on a 200 amp bus. And I have trouble believing that this device can trip a 200 amp breaker. But I could be wrong. Installation and hookup was easy.

Easy to install, hopefully it does its job if needed. Cheapest price I could find.

I had it installed professionally. I wouldn’t take a chance with it, but it does what it’s supposed to do.

Had an electrician install it in our panel and as far as I know it is protecting the panel from extreme power spikes on the grid, at least according to a green indicator light that shows the protection is still intact. Our local grid is pretty stable so I'm not expecting problems, but it's a line of defence against the unexpected. I still use a UPS to protect my computer and router, and I still have surge protectors on a few other devices. But the devices that were not surge-protected and might have been vulnerable to a nearby lightning strike can add up (e.g., furnace, heat pump, washer/dryer, stove, microwave, various countertop appliances).

fits perfect , super easy install , can not bcomment on protection ,, no surge yetbut one of the easiest installs i have performed in 30 yrs of being electrician

Saw this product and thought i would give it a try. Installed and appears to work. Hopefully never need to find out for sure. One note is that the neutral is stranded wire, i didnt use ferrules but wish i had some now
