Still going strong
This was a replacement for the first one I bought after it developed a faulty with the steamer (wouldn't turn off!) this one works perfectly and makes a really nice coffee (or maybe that's me!!) the milk frother is efficient and a good size and the whole unit is very sturdy. The speed of the heating up is really good and it is very easy to use. Bit recommended for children obviously! The material can be hard to clean but if you clean-as-you-go l, it won't be a problem. The colour is just as advertised and it's a beautiful looking appliance.

Great 1st (ground) coffee machine
This is our first coffee machine that used ground coffee and we are happy. We took a while to learn that it can't operate when too hot (dial to steam shouldn't be used to pour coffee as it will leak everywhere) and we also learnt that the colour cream stains easily hence why we put a cloth over the top) but other than that, no concerns. Sometimes it pours out of one side faster than the other but no issue, we should probably descale it but haven't done so yet. Easy to use and also easy to remember instructions as its not that hard like I've heard some other coffee machine brands can be more difficult and have more steps but this is easy enough.

New Coffee Machine
Very neat, so doesn't take up to much room on work surface. Easy to use after you read all the instructions. Looks good.

It smelt of plastic and was unusable
This machine looks great but that is the only good point. When it arrived I was excited to use it so I flushed it through like it recommended and proceeded to make some coffee, when the coffee was made it had a strange smell and it tasted awful so I flushed it through again and all I could smell and taste was plastic which was overpowering my Lavazza coffee I use! After an email directly to Swan I was told most coffee machines smell like this and it is normal! I have had a few machines in my time and none of them smelt like this. Then I was told by Swan that 1 in 1000 machines smell like this which made me wonder why they are not changing the manufacturing process and why am I being given different information.Another email later and I was assured that if I then brought some white vinegar, flush it through yet again then flush through with Lemon juice the problem would be rectified...NOPE still the same plasticy smell coming from the machine and contaminating my coffee.I gave up and went back to my trusty Delonghi machine and problem was solved.A poor product, overly priced.I got a full refund from Amazon.

You get a wonderful coffee every time.
The first thing to know is that it is great value for you money. Then, it is quiet and efficient and produces the goods a that is good cup of coffee. The quality of the coffee depends on the bean and or the grinding not necessarily the machine so that down to experience. The frother does the job, just make sure it's cleaned after use as the milk will clog it up again nothing to do with the machine. So all in all it is an excellent buy for the out lay and pays back with a good cup.Down side is that this colour the off-white does seem to stain, so what I say, it adds character as long as it is clean and keeps providing me with the goods.

Okay, but inconsistent
I owned this machine for 2 years before it died on me. I work as a barista professionally, and I've worked with a number of at-home and professional coffee machines. If you are a beginner home barista, this product will work for you. If you are a more experienced at-home or professional barista, I'd opt for another machine. You cannot programme this machine, you need to simply press the coffee button and stop it when your desired weight is reached. The espresso you can achieve from this machine is okay, and if you use pre-ground coffee with this machine it can come out decently if you use upwards of 15g and experiment with different varieties of pre-ground coffee. The steam wand is...yikes. It's built with a curve that you cannot change, and is therefore too short for many types of jugs. I recommend a jug fit for flat whites if anything. If you leave the external piece on the wand, you will only end up with cappuccino milk (very frothy) and very little texturing. I've gotten the best milk by removing the metal piece and using only the wand's barebone metal. I've been able to have okay at best texturing this way. I'd stick to espresso drinks or cappuccino's. If you don't mind extra froth in your latte (not a latte at that point but more like a wet cappuccino) then go for it.One day I use fresh ground coffee from my workplace to see how it tasted in this machine at home. As I don't have a grinder at home I just ground the coffee beforehand. This seemingly broke my machine. I have no idea why or how, but the espresso came out and then the machine died. From thereon out when I used my normal grounds, no water would come out of the machine, or very little. I took the whole thing apart but because of how the machine is build, I couldn't reach in very deep to mess with the water tubes. I assume something either got stuck or a pipe got disconnected, but never figured out the issue fully as the machine is almost built as one piece entirely and you have to go through the bottom to open it up.I contacted customer service, who gave instructions to purge it. Which I did...multiple times. But alas, the machine broke. £100 for 2 years is not a bad deal, but just be careful of the grounds you put into your machine if you want it to last a while. Since then I've upgraded massively. And I'll say that this machine served its purpose albeit for not as long as I'd have liked.
