Titan Ramps Folding Steel Scooter and Wheelchair Carrier with Ramp, 400 lb. Weight Capacity Class III or IV 2" Hitch Receiver

Got my son and his girlfriend to install it, my MS wouldn't let me do it unfortunately. Took them about 15 minutes to unpack and install, no problems - except we initially forgot the anti wobble plate. Oops! Easy to load my scooter and works perfectly. Stable and quiet loaded and unloaded. Read some reviews that it is noisy, but that's not my experience. Folds up close to car body when not in use, but does not touch car body. Notes: Be sure and properly tighten the spring loaded pins that hold the ramp in place and check them initially from time to time. I added a bit of blue thread locker to be sure as that looks like a likely place for vibration issues. Since the unit has a tube that passes all the way through it, you CAN mount it with the ramp on either side of car, passenger or driver. It isn't limited to just one side of the vehicle. When you fold it up, BE CAREFUL to not hit the car body when raising the ramp as that's easy to do! Overall, very pleased with it.

Carrier arrived quickly and appears to be well made. However, assembly instructions are very poor. First, the instructions are for muliple models and although our model number was on the instructions, they obviously weren't for the model we purchased. Also, the instructions are not printed but appear to be copies of copies of copies and were very blurry. The pictures were very blurry and useless. I also could not find a video on YouTube showing the assembly. Eventually we were able to figure it out. Once on the vehicle, you have to use the stabilization U bolt provided because without it, it is very wobbly. Don't buy unless you're very good at figuring out puzzles!

Be aware that you need to take your precautions for when you have it set on your vehicle. The ramp has no lock anti-theft, so my recommendation is to buy 2 locks (one for the vehicle hitch but also the ramp needs to be lock). In general I'm very happy with my purchase.

This carrier will not hold an electric wheelchair. When I put the wheelchair on it,it sagged to the point that I couldn't drive down the road with it. Will be returning.

We had this for a while now and it prefect for our needs. The only thing that is does rust but we plan to give it a good coat of rust free paint.
