Update 3/21/17 As of today i have to change my review. I dropped my case 2 feet from my desk to the floor, before hitting the carpet it hit the plastic bar for my computer chair. When it hit the plastic bar the cover for the data port which was closed shot open, and with inspection is now broken. The hinge has broken for all four of the people i recommended this case to and now with mine broken as well I am calling this a massive manufacturing error. [THIS CASE MAY BE LIFE PROOF UNTIL YOU LIVE WITH IT FOR A FEW MONTHS] What should be normal wear and tear on any phone case has really been more then this case can handle. After cleaning the case with nothing but a clean microfiber cloth, the screen protector has become some what sticky and feels like a clear coat is starting to rub off. Also even though it is water proof at least once a week i have to open it and clean off my screen because moisture seems to get in there. (original order)This case is cool. It feels sturdy and is definitely water resistant. My phone came with a scratch on the screen, I think i am gonna return it for another and see if it changes the outcome. Also This case is VERY WHITE. Like uber white. The back is like a cream color. 3 stars Update: The second case had no smudge or scratch and is amazing. Easy to install and easy to remove Great for if you have a Gear VR but want a full body case.

We purchased this case for my husband for his new Galaxy S7. This case was recommended by my son who also has one on his phone that endured a 30 foot drop from a rooftop, landing face down. Expecting his phone to be utterly destroyed, the LifeProof case SAVED that phone, with nary a scratch! The case came as expected and on time. It's been approximately 6 weeks since the delivery of this purchase. The small protective door to the charging slot broke, causing the cover to not close securely. Today, we called LIfeProof and spoke with Matt. He was helpful and VERY pleasant. He obtained all of the information he needed, and was quick to say he was sending the replacement. My husband asked to speak with Matt's supervisor where he proceeded to explain why Matt should be getting a raise, he was that good. We HIGHLY recommend this case for some of the best protection available for your phone! We will be purchasing a new LifeProof case for my phone when I purchase it in October 2017.

I'm going to say this right off the bat. IF YOUR CASE BREAKS, CONTACT LIFE PROOF... I'll get to this later. I have had 2 diffrent lifeproof cases in the past and they were top. As an electrician, I am looking for protection over anything, and lifeproof is the best way to get it. My phone survived a 20+ foot fall off a scissor life onto concrete. After seeing all these reviews I was a tad hesitant to guy another for my s7. But I finally did it, and so far I am happy. It's almost exactly what I expected. Some points to go over -yes, it does take a little bit to get use to the screen protector as most of the time there is an oh-so-slight gap between the protector and the phone, which does deminish the quality slightly. It is not hard had all to get use to, as you will soon just find out you will be typing every so slightly harder. And, as I remember, typing on this is a tad louder. But who cares - An early review I noticed the plug covering the headphone jack came out entirely. It is now attached to a little arm so you won't loose it. - Audio quality has always been my biggest problem with these. It definitely muffles it a tiny bit, and always make the speaker sound like it's in the back of your phone. Thankfully for how loud the gs7 is, it's less of an issue. - The plastic it is made out of does seem a tad softer and more flexible I'd say? Most likely for additional damage absorption. IMPORTANT Yes. Alot of customers are saying there charging port has broken off. I have ever experienced this problem twice with my other cases. I sent an email to lifeproof, and I got a new case for free... That is it.. The first time they just made me send it back (galaxy s3 fre case) and the second time I had to print out a template on paper and position my case a certain way on the paper, take a picture, and send it to them, a quick process for a free case. Again, this case will not be perfect. You can't get everything, don't be greedy. Do you have a manual labor job? Exciting, physical hobbies? Clumsier then all hell? Get the case. This is my worry free case. I have never dropped my phone in a life proof and had any concern for its safety (not after that fall on the scissor lift). If you work at an office, and you never have to worry about dropping a phone or breaking it, then don't get the case. You don't need it. This is the worry free phone protection I'll stick with

After 3 plus years of use the charge port cover finally failed as it wont snap back shut and the power button has failed as the rubber around it cracked all around it and fell out. Nothing lasts forever and was very happy with the case so I ordered another one to replace it now since stores don't have Samsung S7 cases in stock anymore. The only problem that I have had with the case is with the fingerprint reader. I work outside as a landscaper and hands get dirty, over time the dirt scratched up the fingerprint reader where it would take a quite a few tries to get it to read. But again very happy with this case and when I upgrade my phone the LIfeproof case will be my first choice.

This case is by far the best case made for the S7. The battery flap is the weakest part and does break very easy. What I do is use the wireless charger pad from samsung and then I dont need to use the flap. My phone stays charged all day long so when I get home I just set it on the charger pad. It charges just fine with the case on. I have used life proof cases for many years on my other phones and I am extremely rough with them. My phones have fallen into oil barrels, water tanks, and creeks and even the lake and I have never had a single issue. Just wash it off and keep going.

Lifeproof should fire the entire department that designed this case and fire every single department responsible for the weak materials used on this case. It's almost like they hired spies from Otterbox they are actively trying to sabotage otherwise good products or something... How can a case protect a phone so well but be so weak in everyday use? The warranty costs you $5 for shipping for a case that breaks every single month for me and most of the other customer reviews... I don't even drop my phone often, what breaks this garbage case is EVERYDAY USE like CHARGING YOUR PHONE. -The plastic charging port door is somehow weaker than happy meal toy plastic You have to use your fingernail to open it and charge your phone. I was as gentle as possible with my replacement and it still snapped 2 weeks in. If you have access to a 3d printer: use it to replace this garbage. -NOT ALL CHARGERS CAN EVEN FIT IN THE CHARGING PORT HOLE. This is straight up poor design, I shouldn't have to use a knife to shave the rubber off the sides of my micro usb cables down just to charge my phone. MANY AFTERMARKET USB CABLES CAN'T FIT IN THE CASE. That 10 foot cable you spotted at your local 7/11? Probably doesn't fit or it does and now you have a cable putting lateral pressure on your poor charging port that honestly doesn't deserve this abuse. -Does a poor job dissipating heat when the phone gets warm, you will see temperature warnings often. -The rubber seal is really flimsy, good luck putting it back in when cleaning the case. It tends to flop out of place for no reason when opening the case. -The case is VERY PRONE TO FLEXING AND WARPING. Especially the back of it. -The rubber is some of the weakest garbage ever. It often peels off and the buttons will break. On my first case: the only way to raise/lower my volume or hit the power button was to get my keys or use the end of my glasses to reach into the holes where rubber buttons used to be and click the physical buttons on the phone. -Requires an adapter to use your headphone jack. I bought the s7 because every single other company removed the jack and gave us garbage adapters. IMAGINE MY SALT WHEN I FOUND OUT THIS POORLY DESIGNED CASE REQUIRES A FRAGILE ADAPTER JUST BECAUSE THE THREADING OF THE CASE MAKES PLUGGING IN HEADPHONES OR AUX CABLES IMPOSSIBLE. These idiots don't even sell replacement adapters when they inevitably break. -The camera lens protector is just barely held on by a millimeter of really weak rubber. Once it comes off: consider it a loss, don't waste your time trying to fenagle it back in. -The lack of a rubberized back will cause your phone to slide all around while gaming, driving, or just simply trying to prop up the phone to watch videos with your friends. -The softest of drops from the shortest heights will absolutely mangle the weak plastic on this case. -Even if everything is brand new: debris will find a way under the screen protector and your phone. -The edges of the screen protector are raised in a way that makes tapping the very edges of the screen difficult. -The broken charge port invites dust into the charging port of the phone. You need to use a needle occasionally to clean that out or else charging stops working. +Phone comes out basically perfect when swapping cases every month. Other than the aforementioned dust issue. +The glass body of the phone makes it handle like a bar of soap. This case makes it grabable. Still slippery but also an improvement over the phone's stock design. +Somehow, the plastic protecting the flash is the most durable part of this case. You could put all of your pressure on it and it'll hold strong. WHY WAS THIS THE PART OF THE CASE THAT IS ACTUALLY DURABLE?

I had this same case on my Samsung Galaxy S6 so I'll start by comparing some changes I've noticed. This one feels like it is made better than the one I had for my S6. I like the headphone and charging port covers better. I've seen that people have issues with the charging door breaking, which is a problem I had with my S6 case, but this one seems like it may still be a little bit stronger. We're dealing with a thin piece of plastic, so unless you want a bigger bulkier case, it's gonna happen. Lifeproof is great about honoring their warranty when it does break though. Compared to the S6 case I love this one. I like the more durable piece on the back of the phone, it slides in and out of my pocket easily and I can hear much, much better through this case than I could with my S6. The downside compared to my S6 case is that the screen protector doesn't sit flush on the edges so it is hard to tap the screen right at the edge. I've had this case for about a week and I've already contacted Lifeproof about an issue. After only a few days of use the bottom left corner of my case isn't staying completely closed. It isn't horrible, but it certainly wouldn't be a waterproof seal. Based on past experience with them, I'm confident they'll take care of it and send me a new one, but it is something to watch for. Edited: I downgraded my review by a star. I just submitted a warranty claim for the third time for a broken charger flap. They don't last very long at all. I need to get a new one to keep things dust proof but my flap has ben broken for months now.

I read all the negative and positive reviews on the LifeProof FRE Waterproof case. Not only did I receive it I less than 2 days it works absolutely perfectly. I take really good care of my electronics items but having this case gives me the extra assurance that if I drop my phone on the ground or in water that it is protected. Some of the reviews I read said the bottom door clip is hard to open and close and it breaks after a while. Knowing this has helped as all you need to do is apply a little downward pressure on the edge of the case next to the clip and it opens and closes much easier. So far so good and this case is perfect for me. I am very careful with the use of my phone but I use it constantly all day long and have not noticed one mark on the clear screen or any other issues. The clear screen protects perfectly and as the reviews said you have to push harder around the edges since there is a small gap. Knowing this has been helpful and really only is an issue once and a while so when I need to press along the edges I know what I need to do and it has worked perfectly. Love it!!

If you came here its because your unsure about buying this case or you culd be just cutious. So let me tell you.. This case is waterproof, less bulky than a normal otterbox, tough as hell. I mean this is my second one for my galaxy s7 and i can tell you it gets the piss beat out of it and when it was time for a new one after a greater amount of time than any other case i have had before, i looked at my phone and it still looked like it just came out of the box. Greatest case ive ever had. 10/10 will buy again!

Best case ever bought it for truo to hawaii - used it for underwater snorkeling and filming and photos. Awesome! Loved it so much I kept it on. Protecting my phone from everything! Definitely life proof!

Erster Testbericht nach ca 1 Monat. Die Hülle passt super . Es lässt sich alles super bedienen, jedoch muss man am Rande des Display etwas mehr Druck ausüben beim Schreiben. Dies kommt aber durch die Wölbung des S 7. Den Wassertest besteht die Lifeproof ohne Probleme. Auch ein mehrmaliges abspülen des Handys unter fließenden Wasser. Die Klappe der Ladebuchse wirkt sehr anfällig. Sollte verbessert werden . Hält jedoch zumindest nach 1 Monat. Achso der Sound des Handy wird natürlich reduziert . Was mich jedoch nicht stört. Beim telefonieren stört es nicht und per Musik Wiedergabe auch nicht da ich es meist mit einer Bluetooth box oder Bluetooth Lautsprecher laufen habe. Bei Fragen gern Fragen
