10631 SAE 30 Racing Engine Break-in Oil - 5 qt

Good break in oil. Ran in two different engines for break in.

Great break in oil, good price. Well packaged. Thanks

Lucas Oil’s SAE 30 break-in oil is excellent quality and does exactly what it’s meant to. It’s thick, high-zinc oil that provides outstanding protection during the first few hours of running a new or rebuilt engine. The formula helps parts seat properly without excessive wear and keeps everything lubricated even under high friction and heat. It pours smoothly and has a clean, professional-grade consistency. After using it, the engine ran quietly and strong with no metal shavings in the oil, showing it did its job perfectly. It’s one of the best options for small engines, go-karts, and performance builds. Five stars for protection, reliability, and proven results.

I rebuilt my classic car engine and wanted a break-in oil so I got this in the 5 quart size, unfortunately I had a high pressure line fail and lost some of the original oil, this quart was to bring the level back full. I will advise as to its effectiveness when finished with the break-in period, it does lose viscosity when hot thought.

I used this Lucas SAE 30 racing break-in oil during the first startup of my freshly rebuilt flat tappet engine. It has high zinc content to protect camshaft and bearings while seating piston rings quickly. The 5-quart jug was exactly enough to fill my motor. Oil pressure stayed stable throughout the break-in cycle. After draining, the bearings and cylinder walls looked great with no scuffing. I did not need to add extra additives. It’s a trusted product for engine builders, and I feel confident recommending it for anyone breaking in a performance engine.

Worked well in my new generator.

Worked

Bought 15qt to use on my engine rebuild on a 2003 dodge 4.7. Prefilled all passages with a syringe and soaked valve train and timing chains in this overnight. Ran engine for 10 miles for initial break-in, then changed to this oil again for 600 miles, then went back to my 5w40 synthetic. No leaks, no smoke, and good oil pressure. Engine felt stronger by about 100 miles in, which means the steel moly and ductile iron rings bit the cross hatch properly but not excessively. It was assembled meticulously, but this oil played no small part. Would buy again but if using in summer like I did, I would maybe do the 40w instead (got a little timing chain rattle at hot idle with the 30w that disappeared with the 5w40 synthetic).

OK

great oil

I plan to use this oil in our craftsman 21hp lawn tractor.I rebuilt the engine a few years ago but it hasn’t had much usage since then.

Very good brake in oil the only problem that I have experienced with this seller is, My truck takes 6 Quarts of oil with a small oil filter in order to fill it I had to get 7 Quarts something is wrong with the quantity of oil that's in the every Quart. Its called "shrinkflation" meaning reduction in the size or weight of retail products, especially items of packaged food, with no corresponding reduction in the retail price

Perfect.
