Can I just clip this on to waist of my pants if I dont have belts??

Yes you can, but the fabric of your pants may not be hard enough to have a good grab. As such, the case as well as the phone could fall off without your notice. I used to have a belt case with only the clip but not the two belt rings, so I just clipped it on my belt. One day when I carried my kid, he accidentally kicked it off my belt without anyone's notice and I lost the phone. Since then I always get a belt case with two belt rings. It can never fall off.

Will a S8+ in a Otter box Defender case fit?

No. This is what we tried to do but the fit is so tight it takes 2 hands to remove it and it is still is difficult.

Will it fit a galaxy A51 ?

It works with my husband's Galaxy A51. This case is his favorite go to phone case.

Will this fit an galaxy s10?

Yes, this does fit a Galaxy S10. It is also large enough to fit the S10 with a Pelican case.
