Hampton Forge Epicure 8" Chef Knife: Still a Cut Above, Second Time Around!"
So, I've been rocking the Hampton Forge Epicure 8" Chef Knife for years now, and let me tell you, it's like my kitchen BFF. I recently snagged my second one, and it's just as amazing as the first.First things first, holding this thing is a dream. The grip is spot-on – comfy and secure, even when my hands are slippery from all the chopping action. In the looks department, it's all black and sleek. Seriously, it's like the James Bond of knives – smooth, classy, and it gets the job done.Cutting? Oh, it's a breeze. This blade is sharp as heck. I mean, slicing through veggies feels like a hot knife through butter. And don't even get me started on meats – it's like having a samurai sword for your kitchen.Using it is basically foolproof. The balance is perfect, and it doesn't feel like I'm wrestling a bear while chopping stuff. Plus, it's versatile – from delicate herbs to hearty squash, it handles it all without breaking a sweat. And let's talk about material. That stainless steel blade is like the Hercules of metals – tough, sturdy, and practically immortal. I've put it through the wringer daily, and it's still slicing like a champ. In a nutshell, the Hampton Forge Epicure 8" Chef Knife is my ride-or-die kitchen tool. It's got everything – ease of holding, slick appearance, cutting like a ninja, ease of use, and that killer stainless steel material. Round two, and it's still my culinary hero!

The knife was better than I thought it would be.
I liked everything. The size of the handle. Great control while slicing. I use on very crusty rye bread. The knife does the work for you.

Cute and not bad for the price
I purchased these knives because I have some older Hampton Forge knives that I love. I needed to replace a couple of pieces and was having a hard time trying to find them. So I decided to go with a whole new set.I'll put the pros and cons together:The color is a little paler than the picture but that did not bother me because it matched my can opener, sink drain and drawer organizers very well. See picture. The first thing I noticed was that the knives are light (weight). My older Hampton chef's knife is definitely heavier. Comparatively the newer blade is thinner which makes it bend more. That maybe ok for some but not for me.The grip is ok. For hand reference, I wear a medium size glove. I was able to chop using the chef's and 7in Santoku knives without knocking my knuckles. I did not have the same experience with the 5.5in Santoku blade as it was shorter not only in length but width.I don't like the unfinished knife block. I spilled some water on the counter and was concerned about it sitting in liquid. I've had a block that had slots cut out in the bottom allowing for air flow reducing chance of mold in the bottom. When washing you have to make sure to wipe dry immediately otherwise you'll get water spots. On a whole, I like the set for the price. The knives are very sharp although the scissors are not impressive.

Nice and sharp and sturdy
I look forward whenever I need a sharp knife to using this knife because it's so easy to cut with. I'm not sure if it's all stainless steel because I have noticed a stubborn discoloration on the blade , but that might be just a place I need to clean more.

Bad News - Rust ☹️☹️
This is a great knife for the price. It’s nice and sharp. I should have expected it to be too good to be true (and it was) for being so inexpensive, but sometimes you can be pleasantly surprised. Well, not this time. The first time I used it, I put it in the sink to wash. Surprise… rust spots appeared where some water droplets had come in contact with it. It was recommended that you hand wash it, but I didn’t expect rust to appear so quickly. I had planned to hand wash it, but not immediately. So FYI: Don’t let it sit in water, it has to be hand washed and dried soon after use unless you want a rusted mess…

Bom custo benefício
Comprei como faca de mesa mesmo, e atendeu minha expectativa, leve, tem corte, só aparentemente um pouco frágil, mas esperado pelo valor que paguei
