Great preschool science curriculum
This is a fantastic resource for a classroom or family. We use this with the Torchlight Pre-K curriculum. My 2 and 4-year-old have been very engaged by the projects, which are simple and doable for any household. The materials are things most people will have around the house already or else are easy to acquire. I love that the projects are things that can be done along with a normal routine of going and exploring new places with your kids. This could definitely work as a preschool science curriculum— just get kids outside discovering! Highly recommend for any classroom or homeschool teacher!

Unoriginal activities for elementary age kids
I wish this book had an age range like the other Asia Citro books. This is definitely meant for elementary school age children despite the description saying "for all ages." For the few things I did pull for a toddler, I found myself on Pinterest looking for better versions of experiments. I felt like most of the activities were the subpar version of something else I had seen before. I would not recommend purchasing.

I love this book
I love this book! There's so much out there on the Internet, but I found this book brings more to the table and rather than just give cute projects, there are well thought out explanations to each project and expansion activities as well. Great pictures and very appealing to kids

So much fun!!
What an amazing resource for fun things to do with your kids! I purchased all three books and I must say they are all wonderful and well worth the investment. We have completed several of the projects already and plan to do some every week. There are so many fun things and variations that it will take us all year to complete and then we can start all over again! What I love most about the projects is most of them use every day things you have at your house and if you don't have something it's not an expensive item to buy especially if you are a member of Sams or Costco. I highly recommend the liquid watercolors as they are fun to work with, do not stain and have a much more vibrant color. I honestly don't know who is having more fun, the kids playing in all of our creations or me getting to prepare and make the projects! It is fun for the entire family and gives you plenty to do inside or outside. The learning that happens is absolutely wonderful!!

Great ideas to prompt your child to interact with parents ...
I bought this for a 4 year old's birthday present. Great ideas to prompt your child to interact with parents as well as nature! I put this in a basket along with some supplies to start some project and it made a great gift!

Asia Citro is seriously one of our favorite authors for kid's activity books
Asia Citro is seriously one of our favorite authors for kid's activity books! It's all very accessible and down to earth and gives us good prompts (and clear directions when we need them!) for helping our kids embrace science in their daily lives.

Love this book
Love it!! My toddler is still a little too young for most of the ideas but it gives me lots of time to plan out the activities

Good if you are totally unfamiliar with outdoor learning. Not so much otherwise...
I had pre-ordered this and was looking forward to receiving it. Unfortunately when it eventually arrived, within half an hour of opening it I had decided to return it. Now this isn't because it's a bad book at all. In fact I rather struggled with the star rating above as I was trying to weigh the difference between the book as is and the book as far as it was of any interest or use to me (or, I believe, people in the same sort of situation I am). I don't want to be unfair but at the same time, want to express why it's currently on its way back to Amazon, instead of at hand here.I do a lot of outdoor learning/outdoor work and play with children aged from 3 - 10 and that, perhaps, is the problem. Based on the way this was promoted and the description I read, I thought this would be something that would be a great help re new ideas for activities and to further engage the children, but if you have ever spent any time with children in an outdoor learning (which includes play etc.) environment then I doubt that you'll find anything particularly new here, and if you are working with older children, I doubt you'll find anything that will engage them for too long or really challenge them at all. It seems particularly short on the 'science' aspect, certainly in respect of activities that would suit older children (which rather belies the 'perfect for all ages' claim). It's not a bad book at all. It looks great and has lots of details and lovely photos demonstrating the activities and for someone who is taking on outdoor learning as a new activity, and doing so with young (maybe 3 -6/7) children, I'd recommend it wholeheartedly, but if you have any experience with this at all, you've probably tried most of this already!
