SSD bowed when installed
This adapter has the connection too close to the PCB, with no offset to accommodate the thickness of the SSD. This results in bowing, and potentially damage, to your drive. Also it was shipped haphazardly in a zip-lock bag. Would not recommend

Took some time but made it work.
Unfortunately, my mac wouldn’t read my SSD with this adapter. The 2242 size SSD fits into it almost bows a little bit which in turn may make your connection spotty; make sure you have the mount ring for this guy not tightened all the way or else you’re SSD adapter will bow like crazy. Regardless, after a dreadful Sunday evening my MacBook went from 256gb to 1TB thanks to this guy. So if you have issues, make sure you check the position of SSD in adapter! Thanks guys.

I bought this adapter for my upgrade to my SSD MacBook Pro. It arrived quickly and my Mac tech guy was able to install it along with my 1TB SSD! Worth every penny, and more.

Les vis TORX donnent du trouble un peu. Merci APPLE. Mais une fois installé, le redémarrage en mode récupération, l'utilitaire de disque, la restauration du TimeMachine d'un disque externe et le redémarrage normal se sont déroulés normalement.

did not recognize the ssd nvme m.2280 on macbook pro 2016, You have to reformat and put OS system in 2017 MacBook Pro or you need to buy adapter to put in OS system in the internal HDD, then it will show in 2016 MacBook Pro and will be recognized.
