Aisin Timing Belt Kit w/tensioner
This is a great kit on a gen3 4Runner. The last kit installed was also an Aisin, and it lasted 120K, (40K past due) not something I recommend. The kit even included a thermostat gasket. Only things missing could be the crank and cam seals, but not everyone replaces those. Everything fit, nothing leaks, best price. I just wish I had done this during warmer weather.

Amazing Quality OE Kit
Amazing kit! Just installed this kit on my 1998 4Runner everything fits so perfect not like some Chinese garbage kits that you can tell right away are made of poor quality material and the gasket is paper not steel like the one in this kit for people who dont know Aisin is the OE supplier for Toyota parts 100% highly recommend this kit!

Legit thing - Real Aisin/OEM "Made in Japan" parts
For those concerned about fakes/forgeries of OEM parts, these parts are all in original packaging/boxing inside the Aisin box, looks legit with all the markings on the bearing seals and packaging. Mitsubishi belt, Koyo/NSK roller bearings, Aisin metal waterpump/tensioner, no nameplate on the bonded gasket but it looks identical to my factory gasket that has the gasket bonded into a metal frame so no need for RTV/FIPG. Like others said the waterpump even shows where the OE Toyota name cast into it has been ground off for resale under the Aisin brand. Comes with an Alldata work packet thats helpful for DIYer's but made for mechanics (lol at the 2.5hr flat-rate expected turnaround on this job). My only issue is the original Aisin box wasn't in anything else from Amazon and just opens right up without any seal break so it's possible to have the whole box dumped out before it even reaches you. At least with Amazon returns are still easy but I seemed to have everything shown in the pics and install went well.

quality parts and everything you need!
I ordered this for my 2001 Tacoma EXT Cab TRD. I don't have much mechanic skills so I took my truck and this box full of goodies to my local mechanic. When I told him I ordered a timing belt kit online he told me I shouldn't have done that and should have ordered through him for a better deal and quality parts. I told him how much I paid and he was even more worried about the quality. Fast-forward a couple days and he called to say my truck was ready. He told me he was surprised to see all the parts were geniune Toyota OEM parts. (Belts say "Made in USA right on them") He told me he was also surprised at how everything he needed to update the area around the timing belt was also included (waterpump etc..). One thing he did suggest and later bought for me was all new "drive belts", he said they were bad and he put on new ones while doing everything else. So that is the only thing you may want to consider. That and mine came with a thermostat in this kit, but now I am not seeing it listed, which is weird. And finally, while I wish I was talented enough to do this myself, I am very glad for this kit saving me a lot of money for parts. Dealership was going to charge $800 to $1000 for the parts and labor. This kit and labor from my neighborhood mechanic came to $450 total. Not bad!!!

EXCELLENT Timing Belt Kit! (1998 4Runner; 255,000 Miles and COUNTING!)
When this kit dropped below the $180 mark, I couldn't pass it up. Everything that came in the kit looked like an EXACT replacement of the 'Toyota' etched pieces of what I took off my '98 4Runner. Everything seems to be of the highest quality and a perfect OEM match. The ONLY slight complaint I have is that it doesn't come with a thermostat, but it does come with a thermostat gasket. (Kinda odd, but I guess if you're like me and you have to run to a parts store to borrow a cam pulley remover, just grab a $10 thermostat, problem solved.) Overall, finished the replacement job in 5 hours with the occasional extra set of hands from my dad. This was the first time I did it, and it saved me over $1,000 doing it myself as opposed to a shop doing it....not even considering the shop would charge me over $300 for a LESS quality timing belt kit alone. Do yourself a huge favor and buy this kit and follow the instructions that come with it!

Very god buy with everything you need
Very nice same as genuine toyota timing belt kit. Asin is the manufacturer of water pump and idler pulleys and Mitsubishi is the brand of the timing belt. All are OEM just not branded for Toyota. For a 2001-2004 Tacoma, take out the radiator, rent or buy the special tools that are separate.... trust me on this. Make sure to match the notches and once the belt is on, turn the crankshaft twice to release the slack built up that you don’t notice is there. Trust me, if you don’t your marks will not match up and you will jump half a tooth and you’ll have to take all back apart. Make sure you fill the radiator and leave the cap off when you restart it. Keep filling it up as it warms up. If not you’ll only have about 1/3 of the coolant and very bad. Also I would buy the 3 drive belts and the gates brand drive belt tension took to measure the tightness of the belts.

Great kit with high quality parts. One small gripe about packaging the water pump gasket.
This is my second time to buy this kit (or at least one with the same exact parts). They are great parts. Same as stock and I did mine for the first time at 220k miles because the truck ate the AC drive belt and since I was in that deep anyway I did it all. Only reason I am having to buy it this time around is because my mechanic who swapped in my JDM 5VZ FE used parts store junk when changing the timing belt and water pump. It was leaking undetected for an unknown amount of time, but I noticed it around 50,000 miles later because I was overheating from the coolant loss. Do not use cheap, poorly-made parts that are that labor intensive to change, ever. To top it off, the parts store crap I didn't know I was buying until after the work was done probably costed me more than getting OE parts on Amazon. Unfortunately this review only gets 4 stars because my water pump gasket was warped upon arrival. While I know this should not affect its function after being straightened out, that part is the entire reason I am buying the kit this time and it came less than perfect. All that had to be done was store it flat under the water pump, but they placed it on the side of the box with the bearings and they shifted around and bent the gasket. UPS probably was not extremely careful handling the box, but that should always be considered as a possibility when packaging multiple items in one box.
