Bird & Squirrel On Ice: A Graphic Novel (Bird & Squirrel #2)

My 4 yo & 6 yo kids love these books! It's a great way to get kids interested in reading, as they can clearly link a picture to the words in that frame. And the stories are interesting, creative, and fun to keep their attention for many nights. Older kids will absolutely enjoy them as well. It is hard to find a graphic novel appropriate for the younger kids, which is what I was looking for, and this series of Bird & Squirrel books is a hit in this family!

This is a wonderful book for reluctant readers. The story is about a Bird and Squirrel odd couple and their miss adventures. Very cute and funny.Our local library, book mobile, suggested the first book to my son. He has a learning disability and is be low grade level for reading comprehension. I am more than happy to get him books that he will read. When he finds a book he likes he will read it many times over, which is good for comprehension and fluency. This series is graphic novel style. I have bought the all 4 books. My son has read them over and over. They are still some of his favorites.

We bought all of the bird and squirrels for our kids, boys 6 and 8 but then we loved them too and our friends as well - and we’ve bought many more copies as gifts for kids of all ages. Comic style, fun nice storyline and great graphics!

This whole Bird & Squirrel series is fantastic. Fun to read out loud, funny characters, usually a moral of some kind. This is a series that I know we will read repeatedly.

Excellent fun book for my 4 year old. This book is nicely illustrated with a good fun story. It's definitely child appropriate. My son loves to sit with it and go through all the pages on his own. He's starting to ask about the words and is now interested in learning how to read. Amazing for a rambunctious child who can't sit still.

I loved it! It was very funny. I like how bird is super energetic and willing to take big risks and squirrel's main goal is to survive, but, although they are so different they are friends. I recommend for kids ages 4 - 9.

My kids 5 and 6 yrs old love to read these books! Language is appropriate, funny and great detail drawing!

We gifted our son this book when he was 10 and he really got a kick out of it! Great book for children who are not quite ready for a long chapter book.
