InstaHang - Convenient and Secure, Hang Cherished Wall Art or Tapestry in Seconds

I figured out that the main reason for all the bad reviews on this product is that for some reason, the company claims it will work on "any wall". But anyone who knows anything about wall hangers can see that it will not work on wood, plaster or any hard-material wall. It does however, work great on sheetrock and is extremely handy, accurate and solid for a quick picture or 2. Just line it up, pop the plunger smartly with the palm of your hand and done . . . nice, clean and straight, ready to use hanger peg. Also, many have pointed out that's it's "cheap plastic". Again, it's plenty sturdy for nailing into sheetrock and for this price point, you're not going to get stainless steel. So while I rarely write reviews, I feel that this item has been poorly represented, needs further explanation and really rates a 5 star for how well it works when used properly. To whoever markets this item, you should simply change your ads to "sheetrock" only . . . you'll probably sell a whole lot more of them by being honest and not getting all the negative reviews. You're welcome . . .

Great product! The Insta Hang can hang a decent amount of weight. I've been using this for three years now and in two apartments. The quality is fair. This is my 3rd hanging tool. I had a few problems with the spring latch breaking and jams in the tool, but the previous price ($14) and current price ($6) causes me to overlook the few complications. Easy tool and great for the price!

Good tool for hanging pictures and such. However, it could use more documentation on how large/heavy an object it can handle. Also, the mechanism has a tendency to misfire causing the pin to either not fully come out of the mechanism or not fully go into the wall. This can leave you with extra single pins that the mechanism doesn't really handle. The one other thing I would suggest is a second level in the hand so you put the mechanism on top of the picture to see if it is level.

Wish I read the reviews prior to purchase. While it looks great and is advertised as easy to use, I strongly disagree! The loading door is more than difficult to open and close, the storage area for the accessories and pins is awkward and hard to load without stabbing yourself in the fingers with the pins, and the amount of force required to dispense a pin is ridiculous!! I am by no means a "girly girl" and am more than capable of handling tools. This looked simple and easy to use. So disappointed. Returning immediately.

Simple to use, just follow the directions and be sure to put the pins in correctly. I wouldn't use this to hang heavy items like bigger pictures with glass in the frames. After a few tries you will learn how hard to hit the handle to drive the push pin in the drywall. A small hammer (like those that come in a kids tool box) can be used to tap in pins that didn't go quite all the way in if needed.

When I ordered the Insta Hang along with a refill kit (just in case), I thought to myself, "Well, even if doesn't actually work as well as they make it out on the infomercials, at least it's not gonna cost me a lot of money to find this out." And boy was I totally wrong! I quickly and successfully wall hung 32 8 x 10 photos in several different and fun groupings in about 1 hour and most of that was time I spent deciding on arrangement before pegging. Totally a great buy!

I'm on my 2nd one of these and it broke the same way the first one did-the spring holder pin snaps off. When it works, it works but then when you reload the push pin hangers or it jams and you have to take out the spring/cap assembly the pin breaks off. I've ended up just using the push pins/hangers with a hammer and the tool is worthless. Don't waste you money on this unless you are ready to send it back when it breaks after the first use or two. Since this is a known issue you would think the manufacturer would realize the defect and do a redesign or make it out of a different material that won't break.

I’ve bought like 5 of these now and never had any issue, they work great! You have to really give them a firm hit to work smoothly though. We use them to hang everything from posters, small white board, calendars, picture frames, apron hook,etc. never had any fail or fall out. Give it a try and I don’t Think you’ll be disappointed

This is my second set...it worked so well the first time I bought another. Only one suggestion you could offer just the hooks without the installer, this option isn't offered when getting a refill. Still an excellent way to hang pictures and leaves a very small hole if you have to move an item.

I have not used mine yet, but I know people who have and that's good enough for me, sorry I cannot give my own opinion yet.

Cuando abri el estuche en el que viene me encontre que estaba medio desmontado ,le faltaba un tornillo de la parte de la base y al poner los otros note que estaban pasados de rosca en el plastico de la base,por lo que tube que comprar un pegamento especial para plastcos y pegarlo dejarlo horas para que hiciera su efecto y luego una vez montado lo use y si funciona bien pero deberian comprobar que dan una cosa en perfectas condiciones.

No me ha gustado nada, mala calidad del producto y en pared normal no cumple su cometido, quizá en otra superficie si pero no lo he probado
