I got tired of hunting down my one remote control. Solution - buy a second one and leave it in one place. Wish I had done this earlier. Incidentally, unit worked better after I installed batteries!!! Worked seamlessly with my TV set!!!

If you have a Sharp brand TV this remote will serve its purpose just fine. After putting in batteries, I was able to turn the TV on without issue. I did notice delayed or no response occasionally after hitting the menu button and trying to change some of the TV settings. I was able to change what I needed to, but had had position the remote just right and push in the buttons hard in order to get it to respond. Overall, it is still much better and more convenient than the alternative when losing a remote and using the buttons on the TV that I am glad that I purchased.
