Bad color for some, good price, so read before buying. It works for us.
This 12" -plus planter/ fishbowl is exactly what we needed. Almost. It worked for us, but you should keep reading, to make sure it will work for you.So, there are two differences: the blue Chinoiserie pattern, while nice, isn't exactly as depicted, and neither is the color. As another reviewer of a similar product noted, if I recall, the smaller version offered by the same seller, the background color is NOT a crisp, clean white. Instead, it's a dull, light but definitely gray color. Not off-white, gray. If you're placing this particular planter/jardinere/ fishbowl on the floor with a plant in it, few will notice that it's dingey gray, instead of traditional white porcelain background. In that case, it really doesn't matter. The only exception to this one might want to consider, would be if the planter is to be placed directly on a white or grey carpet; in this case, the grey background would be highlighted. It doesn't matter on the off-white tiled floor where we placed our planter with a nice little palm tree in it. The notable discrepancy in color may just be why the price was so low for this particular model. My sister-in-law would've sent it back, but I saw the color wouldn't be a problem on our floor, so despite the sort of deceptive color, we kept it.That said: the packing of this big, big porcelain planter was perfectly done! Plenty of protective filler, perfectly fitted, and double-boxed within the exterior shipping box. NOT A SINGLE CHIP OR CRACK IN THIS BIG HUNK OF CHINA!

Very Nice and good value
Very nice planter. Not cheap junk at all. Was not super expensive, but great value compared to many other items. Looks really nice. The wood stand for the planter is nice and strong, but in all honestly it is not rosewood. Not even rosewood veneer. It has a reddish color stain only. If it was rosewood, it would cost more than 5 of these items together. If it was even rosewood veneer, it would cost more than the whole product. Why attempt to fool the buyer in the first place? Who cares if it is particle board stained red? Just dont say anything. Its better than lying.
