This book is perfect for food intolerances
This book is perfect for food intolerances, I completely recommend it for that. But if your concern is food allergies I would avoid this book. The consequences of Woolfred eating dandelions are those of food intolerances, and since he chooses to eat the dandelions 3 times, this isn't something appropriate for a food allergic child. Food allergic children need to have in reinforced that they cannot try the food even once, because the reaction can be life threatening, so Woolfred's callous attitude is dangerous for food allergic kids.

Great book!
We purchased this book for allergy reasons and are very grateful to have a book that helps explain to a child how being different is just part of being them! The silliness of some of the sheep's differences (one eats bugs, for example) appeals to children and the art work does as well. It has been a great addition to our kids' books, and would be wonderful to take to show and tell or to share with a classroom for an allergy child.

Not too scary for little fellas
This might be a particularly good book for a child who has non-IgE mediated allergic reactions, such as eosinophilia or FPIES. The reaction looks a lot like that kind of reaction rather than something like a severe nut allergy. No too scary for little ones.

Cute book. My son enjoyed it although at 3 he is a little too young to understand.

A great story that helps children understand that everybody comes with something that makes them different from others. Beautifully illustrated with Woolfred as a very engaging character that children will see themselves in.
