Royal Frankincense Certified Organic Black Hojari Frankincense Resin from Oman (Boswellia Sacra) (3 oz./Ounce)

I am not an incense connoisseur but I like the best and I don't shy away from the price because I understand that there are many costs associated with it. I have used, until now, the sacred green hojari but I have a complaint with it: at the end of the burning it releases thick, burnt smoke that is offensive to the throat and the eyes. Not with this one. This one's smoke is suave from beginning to end. No after smoke offensive odor. And the odor is such that it gave me immense joy, yes: if you can feel joy from burning incense, this is the one. I felt like the weight of the earthly existence was lifted from my shoulders and for 10 minutes I was transferred to the levity of heaven. Yes, literally. Also, I don't complain about the price, I was spending the same amount of money with the green hojari, and what's more you get an abundance of the incense with this one. Not sure about the fancy packaging but that was welcomed also. So all in all: I will never stop buying this incense for as long as I will be able to, and for what I am concerned, my search for the perfect incense stops right here. I have found the smell of Heaven.

Will be buying again, trust earned with honesty truthfulness of what they claimed to be. Consumer like me trusted their words hoped that it is what they claimed to be. And that’s how you earned costumers trust.

Awesome scent will satisfy all but the purist. Big amber chunks 1-3" - This is the good type, not the creme de la creme holy hojari of church grade, but absolutely delightful. Softer type. Burns fast. Ive been burning frankincense for decades. Pretty sure Ive smelled them all. This is a 7/10 overall. Points deducted only for rapid burn (requires frequent replacement) and the fact that finer grades do exist. At $30 for half pound ($60 pound), this product is priced far above its general value. This price is what you should expect to pay for the very finest grade of frankincense, but cost may be elevated due to current cargo ship blockade (Sept/Oct 2021) or some other scarcity, or perhaps the unnecessary gift-grade packaging (burlap bag and hang tag within a box and accompanied by a full-color recipe booklet for frankincense water, etc.) which, while lovely, serves no real benefit to the average customer who simply wants good frankincense to burn.

Arrived beautifully packaged, boxed really nicely. Beautiful card explaining where it was from. Absolutely looks very pure and great quality. But....I've never smelled Frankincense resin like this before. It has a completely different aroma than what I have smelled in the big churches and completely different from what I have used previously on numerous occasions from numerous sellers. This smells almost camphorous like, not the rich Frankincense I'm used to. Perhaps it's because it's from another region of the world. It's not bad, it's just not what I was expecting or have smelled in all these years. But perhaps I'll get used to it.

Real frankincense doesn’t dissolve entirely in water. I boiled this and there were sap remains as well as a little bark. Thank you so much for such a high quality frankincense. I wish it was a bigger amount but I understand this product requires difficult extraction so it’s worth every Penny. I ordered black and green so they’ll both last about a month or hopefully longer. Can’t thank you enough 💚

Smells amazing!

This frankincense resin is beautiful and fresh. Fragrant even in its solid form-on charcoal gives piles of delightful smoke and scent that lingers for days. If you’re looking for the church experience of swinging the smoke, this is it. Clean and fresh and awakens the spirit!

Everything appears like the product picture, but the aroma is very, very weak. Tried burning a large chunk and that did not do anything but burn black soot into the air for a couple of minutes, which had no pleasing aroma. I feel ripped off. The description said certified organic, but if this is so it probably is diluted to less than one part pure with greater than 99% inert resin from some other plant. Cannot believe I paid so much for this pretty package of worthlessly diluted frankincense. I would have more enjoyment burning a $50 bill than burning this stuff.

I love boswellia sacra but this batch only got 4 stars as the scent wasnt all there. I have brought this brand before but I guess it changes quality with each batch. Still good quality just doesnt have the full bodied deep spicy notes.

I bought these to try based on other reviews. But the product exceeds my expectation many folders over. I have used other brands for the past 10 years, they are all quite good. But this brand surprised me, they are not only clean and chunky but smells heavenly. The packaging really shows how much the producer cares for their harvest. I will return again and again, and would recommend to all my friends and anyone is looking for quality organic Frankincense.
