Curl Defining Styling Soufflé

I love this stuff. My hair is wavy not curly but I use this to keep my wakes from getting frizzy. I add it to my hair fresh out of the shower then use my blow dryer on air to diffuse. Or I wrap it in a T-shirt until it dries. I warm oil in my hair and then break the cast which gets it back to its soft not crunchy state. Lasts all day.

I have searched high and low for a product that my hair will tolerate. I was very discouraged for many year trying popular brands with different methods and not getting the results I was looking for. I bought this on a whim and will be a forever customer. My curls have never looked better.I have 3c curly hair; it’s a bit finer but I have A LOT of it. It is very dry, does not like heavy products or oils, and will get buildup easily because it doesn’t absorb products well.That is not the case with this magic soufflé.I will section fully wet hair into two parts and use around a tablespoon’s worth of this product on each side. I run it through my ends, work it up towards the roots but do not apply on my scalp. I will smooth the curls between my hands in a prayer motion and then scrunch them in my palm and upwards towards my scalp. I flip my head upside down, carefully fluff up my roots with my fingers and scrunch again. I diffuse on the warm low setting for around 20-30 minutes until it’s about 80% dry and then use the cool high setting to finish drying. The results are incredibly defined but soft-to-the-touch curls. No gel, no mousse. No custard or serum; just this product.Never in my life has my hair felt so airy and light. 2nd and 3rd days curls look great too and keep their definition well; I just do a little spritz of water to wake them back up. I am so happy and feel a huge weight off my shoulders knowing I have found a product that works so well for me. I will never stop recommending it and will be gifting it to curly friends and family so they can get in on the magic.

The Curlsmith Hydro Style Flexi Jelly has been my go to styling gel for my naturally curly hair for about 6 years. I have tried many other brands that promised the same curling hold or were less expensive, but always come back to this one. It is a lightweight gel offering a medium non crunchy hold. After it dries there is a slight cast, leaving my hair soft and manageable. I love the ingredients, the texture and smell. It is vegan and cruelty free. There are no sulphates, parabens, silicones or mineral oil. It is a little on the pricey side but the quality and how my hair responds is well worth it.

I use the CurlSmith products. They have taught me good techniques to revive my curls and combat frizz. These products are necessary to hold onto that curl. I have several of their products and wanted to try this one. Opening the jar it looks like a clear jelly. It has a light, pleasant smell. I found the product hard to work with. It was hard to get out of the jar because it was like a runny jelly, so it kept running off my fingers. I finally made a scoop with my fingers and got a little product out. I applied it as directed. My hands were very sticky after working with this, but it washed off easily. My hair dried with a hard cast, so I scrunched it as directed to soften it up. It worked great to hold my curls it helped create. It was still holding the next day. If it were easier to get out of the jar I would give it that extra star.

This styling soufflé is just what I was looking for. I've been using Curlsmith products for about 1 1/2 years, and I love them. I think I tend to err on the side of caution, or comfort with new products. So the products that were recommended to me were great products, but they didn't have quite the amount of holding power that I wanted to keep my curls bouncy and in what I like to call controlled chaos. I didn't want the wet look, or a hard feeling to my curls, but soft, seemingly untamed, defined waves and curls. So what I found with this product is that you may have a bit of a hard to the touch feel as your hair dries. But when your curls are nice and dry, scrunch them to your hearts content and run your fingers through them to reach your desired look. I hope you'll love your curls and waves as much as I do mine when you're done.

Definitely gets the job done, it doesn’t feel so sticky like other ones, it lasts all day! Also works pretty quick! Make sure your hair is damp and once applied leave it to dry! The curling ability and hold is excellent, so if you’re looking for a cleaner curling product, I’d definitely recommend this product! Hope this helps!
