In my younger years, I had two clean out my entire basement twice (after sump pump failures!) That's a lot of time spent and a lot of ruined items! I finally got smart an replaced that typical sump pump with a WATCHDOG! Haven't had to worry for twenty years! I just replace the battery about every five years. The battery cost about $150, so $25/year! I don't believe I can buy Flood Insurance for that price! So five years ago when I was do another battery, I decided to replace the WATCHDOG too! The old one still worked fine but WATCHDOG had a newer model out with more features and I figured why take the risk of the old one failing! I'll keep it in my basement as a backup just in case! It's comforting to know I can go on vacation for a week and not worry about my basement's sump pump anymore! Worth the money just for the reassurance reasons and makes vacations that much more worry free!

I did a lot of research before buying this pump. This is by far the most reasonable price and best quality out there. Installation was very easy and will take very little time as long as you have a current sump pump that you're replacing. It took about an hour to install only because I installed the backup battery along with it. I tested the pump after installation and it worked fine. A week after I installed the pump, it rained constantly for five days straight and the pump was working nonstop during that time. It pumps the water out so fast that the mulch in my yard where it discharges had a hole in it. A combination pump is the only way to go for a complete peace of mind.

This is one of a few battery backup sump pump systems. It has a primary pump and a battery backed pump with multiple floats. It's assembled neatly for a simple installation but there are a lot of wires. Of course this all comes at a price. My plumber had never seen one of these which led to a little confusion but it all worked out. Price is all that keeps it from 5 stars. Mine came from Champion Values. The current listing for this pump is The Basement Watchdog Store. I think that is a change for the better. The problem with Champion Values is their return policy. It's not what you expect from Amazon. My pump had some small problems most likely due to handling. I chose to deal directly with the manufacturer to resolve them. That worked well.

Bought from Amazon Warehouse and item showed up with a broken bracket. The price was right and I worked directly with manufacturer to get a replacement bracket for a good price. Great deal overall!

When product was received the box was open and appeared as if the item had been returned before. The bracket for the auxiliary pump was broken. Must have this exact pump so have ordered again but leery about it.

This sump pump is an exact replacement for the previous pump, works great! The only installation issue was sorting out the wiring and keeping them out of the way while installing the unit. Be ready for a rush of water out of the discharge pipe when disconnecting it from the old unit, it's not bad. Just be ready for about a gallon or so coming back into the sump. TIP... keep the pipe oriented into the sump until all the water has drained.

Needed a replacement system after current sump pump failed in basement after many years of use.I purchased this system based on its HP rating as well as the security of a backup pump given my recently failed pump flooded the basement.The install of this system is really easy and high marks for having the item arrive preassembled. Big plus. It’s truly a drop-in replacement. Really simple.

I received this and opened the package and there was a little bit of damage to the styrofoam packaging, but not enough for me to be concerned that there was actual damage. On the side of the unit, there is a warning "DO NOT LIFT BY THIS" which was on the primary float sensor. I followed the warning, and lifted it out of the packaging using the strap provided. While examining the unit, I found that the sensor was indeed broken. It is EXTREMELY fragile and cheaply made. I figured I could use plastic glue or some epoxy to fix it. Wrong. I tried epoxy, Gorilla glue, and super glue, all to no avail. I didn't want to send it back and have to wait for a replacement, so I glued it again and carefully installed it. During the install, i pulled on the cable connected to it and it broke again. I ended up having to rig up twist ties and screws to hold it together so it would not fail. I would recommend that Glentronics review this assembly and improve on its sturdiness. After all, the float is one of the most important parts of this unit, and if it fails, you'll be depending on the backup pump which is much less powerful. Other than that, the unit is performing well.

Very easy to install, within 24 hours of installing, the power went out for 9 hours. We live in a very wet and sandy area so water is constantly coming in. Pump ran 30+ times, no issues. I highly recommend.
