These brushes were just as described! I have a 12 year old who asked for her first brush set so she can begin to learn to put on make-up. The quality of these brushes was better than expected. I would easily compare them to higher-end brushes such as "Morphe". The handles could be a bit longer, but serve the purpose for her. The bristles do not appear to fall out easily, which is a plus. I would recommend this brush set.

Not a huge assortment of sizes, mostly the same brush with different angles to the bristles. Overall they feel like a decent sturdy brush though, very soft and not really plasticky feeling. Would definitely buy again.

They have a strong chemical smell to them as soon as I opened the package. I may wash them with dawn and air dry them before I use them on my skin.

It can be a rather daunting affair choosing makeup brushes online. I know I am particular. I like them to feel soft on my face. I don't want my makeup to clump or to have lines and streaks in it. A good decent set of brushes is essential to me. I live in the bright sunny daylight hours, not at night where you may be able to hide imperfections better. The set of makeup brushes is ten pieces. If you are not accustomed to larger sets, just know that there really doesn't have to be a set brush for a specific makeup item. All I ever did when learning was to figure out for my face shape what brush works best where. There are plenty of online tutorials to give you ideas. The bristles on these makeup brushes are soft. I also washed them first before usage. I do own a brush stand, it is my dish drain haha All I do is turn the brushes upside down and that way they dry nicely. You do not want the water to seep into the metal part. I alternate between baby shampoo and brush cleaner. You buy a brush rack that is meant to hold your brushes upright to dry them properly. I just keep forgetting to buy myself one. These bristles washed just as well as some of my very high dollar name brand ones. It is hard to find decent brushes that do not shed like crazy. You will have a few stray hairs here and there but I didn't have an over abundance. These also hold powders very well. I did not have to much fall off. Practice makes perfect and with this price point I can have several sets. I do like to keep most of my eyeshadows to color groups when using my brushes. I use mica shadows and a good eyeshadow primer. The little brushes pick it up nicely and apply it with no issues. I really love the look and feel of this 10 piece synthetic bamboo set. The set comes with 5 large face brushes and 5 smaller eye brushes. I also use the smaller brushes for contorting and they work amazing for this too. This set has soft bristles that hold makeup and distribute it evenly on my face. I have a habit of when I get new brushes to work the bristles and pull on them (lightly) to insure myself that I will not be picking them off my face. This set passed my test, and when I used them they did not shed at all. I love that with this set I get lots of shapes of face brushes and the smaller eye brushes to choose from. I fell that I have a brush for everything to complete my face look with this set. The smaller that I would have only used for my eyes before have turned out to be so much fun to play with my contorting kit with! I was surprised that they worked so well with dry makeup like eye shadow, oil based cream makeup, and liquid foundation. The brushes are great quality and they look amazing on the counter. I love the look of them! The bamboo is beautiful and the silver pairs perfectly with the natural wood grain of the bamboo wood. My daughter that is 7 calls this set of brushes Momma's fancy makeup brushes. They have different types of brushes, like for blush, eye shadow, the compact powder, etc.These brushes came in sets of two. Which is nice, because I gave my sister a set of brushes.
