Very Pleased Repeat Customer
This is the third Bucky Baxter lumbar support pillow that Iâve purchased. I initially purchased one after having had spinal lumbar injections and I needed support for driving long distances. It served the purpose and quickly made its way into my home and onto my favorite chair. Shortly thereafter, I purchased a second one which has provided great knee support at bedtime. These little pillows have also provided much relief and comfort following surgery so now I have two for bedtime and one for my favorite chair. They are so comfortable and support more than the lumbar. In addition to lumbar support, I also use for neck support while reading in bed as well under my knees while sitting in bed. They are made well and so far they have held up without any issues. I purchased the first one three years ago and it still has great form considering I use it very regularly. I rarely write reviews but given the negative reviews, I felt compelled to inform prospective buyers that this is a quality and worthwhile purchase. In fact, I recommended this to my son and he too has been pleased.

Comfortable, breathable support.
I really like this product. I now have several.Buckwheat hulls are a very lightweight and breathable filler - for me it is better than memory foam that can make you perspire. You can control how full you want the pillow to be - both the outer cover and the inner case have zippers so that you can remove/add/change the buckwheat hull filler. The handles let you clip it onto luggage, strap it to a chair, or carry it around easily.

Perfect shape and size
It is the perfect shape and size for a lumbar support pillow. I like it soft. So the replaced the husk with shredded memory foam. Great as a neck pillow, lumbar sleep pillow and if youâre a side sleeper and like to rest your head on your arm, just put this pillow between your arm and head so that your arm doesnât feel sore after a while. None of the other lumbar pillows would work for sleeping because of the size and configuration.

Finally relief!
I really love this back support. I have scoliosis and I sit all day. I needed some back relief. I was in pain the moment I sat down in my uncomfortable chair everyday. This pillow has given me so much relief and I'm so thankful for it. Now I don't go home in so much pain everyday and I can get on with the rest of my day after work. The only reason I didn't give it 5 stars is because it has handles on both sides which I wish would have included some kind of tie so that I don't have to keep re-positioning the pillow each time I sit back down in my chair. That's annoying. I guess I am kinda glad it has the handles on the side. This way I can get a string and tie it to keep the pillow in place on my chair. Other than that, its a great buy! I might get another one for my home.

You can customize the diameter to your needs by removing some of the filling.
I researched a lot of lumbar pillows and most had two major deficiencies: 1. They were too thick (too large diameter) so they cause high pressure on the back. 2. They were too tall, apparently designed for people with very long torsos. A lumbar pillow should fit into the lumbar curve's height so it supports just the lumbar region. The needed diameter is variable depending on how soft and slushy is the chair that you are sitting. More than 30 years ago a physical therapist told me to make my own by rolling bath towels and using large rubber bands to keep them from unrolling. I have a thin one for the car since most car seats have much better support than couches and easy chairs. I have two thicker ones that together provide support in my recliner or on my couch. Unfortunately the slip covers over those lumbar rolls are worn out, so I was looking for a viable replacement. I first tried a self inflating lumbar pillow. It was too thin and too tall. Most of the rest that I researched were both too thick and too tall. Perhaps they are all designed for NBA players?I was attracted to this lumbar pillow because it wasn't as tall and allowed me to unzip the cover and remove some of the buckwheat hulls to customize the diameter. After removing about 1/3 of the buckwheat, I had my perfect pillow for my recliner. I kept the left over buckwheat in case I need lumbar support in a chair or couch that is softer or more poorly shaped. My only complaint is I couldn't find a decent inflatable lumbar pillow for travel purposes that didn't have bad reviews for losing its air tight integrity.

Very well made, but doesn't fit me well.
As a lot of the reviews stated, this sucker is very round and very stuffed. I removed roughly half the stuffing and it's still not appropriate for use in my pick-up truck (which was the intended use). It does, however, work quite well with my office chair after removing some of the guts.It would be nice if the inside was divided up into smaller compartments. Once you dump out a lot of the filling it starts to shift to one side and/or the bottom so it takes some shifting to get it symmetric behind you.It is well made, and likely will fit some larger folks and people with extreme lumbar curvature.

Adjustable firmness and portable!
I never thought that I'd be an expert on lumbar support. Over the last year I have been cursed with many back issues. So, I found myself trying all different types of support pillows. Of the four that I tried this was the first one that exceeded my expectations. The best way I can describe it, is it can be firm like high density foam or pliable like memory foam. Any amount of the buckwheat can be removed, to make it softer or keep it all in to give a firmer support. It's versatile, I usually use it on my low back but it also works when I need neck support. I move it around a lot so I needed something that could be adjusted as far as position and level of support.Itâs a convenient size, so it doesnât use more space than it needs to. The handles that has on the sides make it very easy to just grab and put wherever you need it. It has become a staple in my room.I would recommend this for someone that has a low back issue and needs something adjustable and portable.

That it works without an odor.
It has a very bad odor when microwaved. I sent it back

Firm and doesn't compress
I use this when sitting in uncomfortable chairs. It does not compress much, so it maintains a firm shape to make your lower back curve as it is supposed to. For me, this is MUCH more useful and comfortable than foam pillows which merely squish flat with no support.

Excellent high-quality multi-purpose cushion
It's an excellent high-quality product.Likes:- it's very versatile for uses- its stiffness is adjustable since you can remove (or add) more husk filling- quality stitching and materials (seems like it will last a very long time)- washable (can remove inner husk pillow filling)Dislikes:- zero (can't think of even one bad thing)

This is a really comfortable and durable back pillow
My wife strained her back last year. This is a really comfortable and durable back pillow. It's good for both lumbar support for the lower back as well as support for the upper back. It is also convenient to carry. It's perfect for giving the right support exactly where you need it. The material is soft and you can wash the cover. You can take out some of the filling to make the pillow flatter if that is a better option for you .
