This is the best bang for your buck when it comes to clear coat in a can. Just follow the instructions and the finish turns out great! The nozzle has a noticeably better spray pattern similar to an actual gun. The final coating is hard and hold up to abuse and weather.

2k Clear Satin did exactly what I wanted! I ordered 3 cans and only used 2 and didn’t have any spraying issues, no clumps. I painted my engine bay using Rustoleum high heat gloss black and sprayed 2 coats of satin clear over it. It came out great! Make sure to use a respirator, as the odors are toxic.

Fabulous finish for a plane if you want matte. It is remarkably tough and actually prevents hangar rash. Totally fuel resistant. Beware. You HAVE TO WEAR A RESPIRATOR and APPLY OUTSIDE or in a paint booth to prevent lung compromise. Lasts for at least a month if kept in a freezer once activated. Beware however that it leaves an oder on foods in the frig so plastic bag it.

So only reason I'm giving 4 stars instead of 5 is because I did run into the same paint spatter when applying over my base coat. I was wearing gloves so I'm not sure if the tip of the glove was in the way of the spray tip causing the spray paint spatter white dots on my project. Was painting a rear plastic spoiler satin black so let's see if the second time around is better and hopefully just got a defective can and or glove got in the way of the spray tip causing drips. Other than that this spray is really good and satin finish color is perfect with a hint of gloss and hardens in one day. Super easy to use and shake the can VERY WELL before use. I'll be posting another review soon. So just as I thought the second time around sprayed perfectly with No drips No paint splatter and I was sure not to let the rubber glove get in the way of the spray paint pattern. Sprays like a paint gun and lays on super evenly. I did shake can for 3 minutes, popped the bottom and shook can for another 3 minutes. Would definitely recommend and buy again for another project. 10 stars!!

Updating, I would give this -10 stars if I could, ruined at least $300 worth of parts, not to mention dozens of hours of prep work that can't be fixed because the coating is harder than the underlying material, so sanding it removes what I'm trying to finish before I can get the finish off it. My guess is that this one bottle cost me well over $2K in lost hours from a single junk spray and having to replace parts and start over now. Really expensive junk. The sheen is correct, not sure who got the gloss, but first time using this product and the last time I'll use this product. First coat went on ok, not horrible but definitely not like the videos where it looks like they're spraying with a professional system. Second and subsequent coats I get spatter and bubbles and just a junk spray pattern that's now going to require hours of resurfacing to correct, and it's not the nozzle, I swapped to a clean nozzle just in case, it's the product itself, it spits, has gaps where it stops spraying. This is total crap and really expensive total crap, probably lost 2 days of labor on this one can in what it's going to take to refinish. I rarely need to spray a professional clear coat so I don't have a multi thousand dollar paint setup but I could have probably now afforded one in the damage this one can did.

This stuff works really well. I painted my tank and both fenders on my Harley with the Hot Rod Satin black and this Semi matte clear coat. Turned out fantastic. I will say I’ve read some comments about splatter or having the can leave drops on your project. I had zero issues with the paint, although I had a few drops of the clear coat on my rear fender. But it was on the top of the fender where the seat goes, so no worries. I believe it was the angke I was holding the can to paint that part of the fender. Overall VERY pleased. A little pricey but well worth it. Oh and one more thing, one review mentioned something about the gloss....when you order the semi matte, the can actually comes labeled “clear satin”. I feel the “matte” description may be slightly misleading. I thought they sent me the wrong can but I went ahead and used it anyways and was glad I did. If you want matte, order the basic matte, if you want a little bit of a sheen, a low gloss, order the semi matte, or clear satin, cause that’s what it is. Hope this helps anyone.

Product is great, but make sure you read the qty you’re getting. In the specs it says “pack of 1”…4 stars because the picture is misleading

Excellent for restoring a carbon piece on my motorycycle. It was exactly the satin finish I was looking for.
