but it's outdoor safe and it worked fine with this adapter
Works really well. I got two of these with two different cameras. One was a Tenvis camera with panning and tilting capability for the kitchen, to catch the darn cats at night. This did NOT work with that camera, the power connector was a different size. I'm sure I could have done some research and figured that out before I bought, but oh well, I'm sure I'll find something to use the other for in the future. The other camera was a Escam ONVIF IP Camera. Nothing fancy, but it's outdoor safe and it worked fine with this adapter. I was pretty impressed with how well it worked to be honest. Really basic and simple to turn a non PoE camera into a PoE camera. I probably have a 25-50 foot cable string connecting the two ends and haven't had any power or data issues with the camera.

Sped Limit on the Highway to the internet
Works good but limits to 100 Mbit. Works perfect otherwise. I either didn't see that in the description material or it wasn't in the description.

just be sure to use a good quality (3M) weatherproof electrical tape with the external connector
Worked flawlessly with my new Foscam external camera and non-POE switch! If used in an external application, just be sure to use a good quality (3M) weatherproof electrical tape with the external connector. The roll of tape costs ~$9. Pricy, yes. However, 1) it's size is ample, 2) Of such quality that one can be nearly guaranteed these external contacts will not oxidize or corrode.

Does Exactly What It's Supposed To
Does the job great, when paired with an external 12V power source, purchased separately. You don't need to spend hundreds on an application specific POE/switch combo. Buy a cheap gigabit switch, and a 12V power supply that's big enough for your needs (depends on camera model and how many you require). Make a few power cables to plug the injector into, and save a bundle doing it yourself!

Fire risk. Don't buy.
Don't buy. I installed one of these POE injectors to power a WiFi router in my vehicle. I placed a 1.5A fuse in line with it. Yesterday I saw smoke coming from the area it was installed. The fuse was still good, but the power wires had burned through their insulation and melted. The cable completely separated into two pieces and shows melt marks along its entire length. The product had been in use for less than a month. The POE injector could easily have started a fire if anything flammable had been closer to it. Don't chance it - buy a higher quality item.

Not so good for a long cable
These indeed did power the camera just fine, but I found my night image was really bad. Read online that you cannot use these on long runs as the power drops. Indeed I moved the power supply near the camera and what a world difference. If you have a short run this would probably be fine or using it on a camera that doesn't use IR lighting. The daytime image was fine and this was running through a 50' cable.

Good enough for the small budget
These are not what I want, but they are what I can afford. I have installed two of them on two different models of Escam IP cameras, and both are operating with no problems whatsoever. The longer run is between thirty to forty feet, and again works as expected. The build quality is about what I expected for the price, but again - everything works as advertised, so I don't have any room to complain.

Recommended
Ethernet cables have extra wires in them designed to carry two different bi-directional data streams but most network hardware isn't even capable of using the second set of wires. These allow you to use those wires to get low-voltage dc current to places in your wired network where you don't have easily accessed power outlets, like a closet where you want to put a router or a location where you need a camera. I give top marks for quality on this item. I have three pairs of passive PoE Injector/Splitters that are nearly identical to this, but made by different companies, one of them cost three times more than this; this set is by far the best constructed. (the more expensive one was garbage and stopped functioning after a couple of months). I'm not sure I will be needing any more of these, but if I do I will buy this one.

Works really well. I have an IP camera running off one and my wireless router. The mains connector is quite standard.

Coppia iniettore/splitter POE
