Ampersand Art Supply Hardboard Wood Painting Panel: Museum Series Hardbord, 11" x 14", 1/8 Inch Flat Profile

Purchased for a watercolor class. I thought it worked quite well. Was the size it said it should be. It was sturdy and just the right amount of thickness for traveling.

This is my second board. I block my watercolor paper on it to keep it from buckling. Lightweight and easy to handle. Very smooth finish on both sides and masking tape stays until I remove it with the help of a heat gun. My first one I used almost daily for a year and it is just like new. I bought this one larger than the last. It will get plenty of use. With use and plenty of wet on wet techniques there has been no warping, easy to clean and very sturdy

Using in my art room

I use these, not to paint on directly, but to tape acrylic or multi-media paper to for painting. I've had the first one for several months and have not seen any warping yet, so I ordered 2 more so that I can work on multiple paintings at the same time.

I have no issue with these panels; however,by shipping in a loose bag there is danger in the corners being bent or chipped rendering them useless. Even a styrofoam corner would likely protect them from damage.

Great thickness for my watercolor projects. Seems like it will last a long time.

I do quite a bit of coloring with markers, which of course tend to bleed. I researched items that might prevent that and found this Ampersand Hardbord, and after only one picture, I can say it is perfect! Absolutely no bleeding through my paper, my picture came out so nice! I would highly recommend this if you need to prevent bleeding!
