I'm 70, recovering from a dozen years of major health problems and accompanying weight gain. I wanted a piece of exercise equipment that is not too costly, is easy on the joints, and is quiet enough to watch shows or movies while using it. This is perfect. We moved a chair and set up the Gazelle Freestyle in front of the TV. Instead of sitting through an entire movie or show in the evening and sometimes snacking, I get on the Gazelle. It's paying off.The Gazelle Freestyle is sturdy, well-made, quiet, and it doesn't need a huge space. It weighs 46 lbs. It folds easily and has wheels on the back to aid in moving it. It has a battery (included) powered display for time, distance, etc., as noted in description. On unboxing, the included water bottle was crushed between two of the metal frame parts. The machine itself was packed well though the box was flimsy and beginning to come apart. Thankfully all the hardware was there and the glider arrived unscathed. The Gazelle exercises both upper and lower body. Watch the DVDs included for ideas on how to get the most out of your machine. The videos are also available on YouTube. Once over initial fear of losing my balance, I now push it to the max to get my heart rate up and sweat. I'm stronger and have dropped a few pounds after a few weeks of use. My husband started using it too. It has helped improve his strength and balance as well. You can definitely get a good cardio workout on the Gazelle.Assembly: Initially I laid the parts out with the footpads upside down to the illustration. The printed directions aren't clear enough for me. I found the Gazelle assembly video on YouTube, pausing it at each step for this model and carefully watching how it went together. Once the cables and footpad sections were laid out correctly, my husband helped push the two sides of the frame together. It would probably be simple for most people to assemble. If it's placed on carpet, put a mat under the feet to prevent wear.In a nutshell, this is a reasonably priced, sturdy, quiet, low-impact exercise machine that can give you a good cardio workout and some gentle strengthening.

Many Benefits
This machine has gotten lots of use over the past 2-1/2 years. It has been trouble-free so far with very little maintenance required. As a "senior" with knee arthritis and bypass grafts, this became the ideal exercise machine. Can do several miles per day, even with arthritic knees. Gets my heart-rate up as prescribed by my doctors and works upper and lower body. For the price, usability and convenience, it is a great choice. My wife uses it too.

Fun low impact work out
I just got this product. I wasnt sure if really wanted to get but went ahead after talking to some friends who knew someone who had one . I needed something low impact so i can stay moving and healthy. I watched videos on working out on it so would have an idea of how to actually use it to benefit me. I love it . It is easy but i feel like i get a good workout. 30 mins following what I learned in videos , im exhausted. My muscles hurt , not my bones and joints but my muscles. This was worth the money . I will keep updating how its going every few months .So July 2022- still love it , still workout 6 of 7 days a week on it . 30 + mins a time . Love it still easy on joints and it keeping my weight stable now . It did squeak so hubby oiled it and no more squeaks. I really do enjoy it to work out on still . I feel is fun easy work out and will continue. Makes nice impact on my 10,000 steps a day as well .December 2022-still using it 5-6 days a week . I still enjoy using it . I typically put a movie on and go . I feel good when using , no joint pain. My kids have started using it when they are over . They say its too easy but i do notice they use it every time they are over so my guess is they enjoy it as well .March 2025 - i still enjoy it , i still use it 5-6 days a week for 30 minutes . Its so easy and doesn’t hurt my joints . My youngest uses it to keep active when not doing sports and likes it because it can be easy or you can lean a bit forward or backwards to make it harder .I am still maintaining my mobility and weight is still staying good .

Nice, few issues though.
This is quite sturdy and not difficult to assemble. My issue with it is that it squeeks. I keep trying to fix it but it only last a few sessions then start up again. Another problem I have is that with limited space in my small apt, I need to fold it up. It folds well and with ease(though quite heavy) but it has no clips to keep it fold/ hold it close. If not Laing against something or propped up carefully it will fall down. This has happened to me and broke my mirror. Other than those 2 things the machine is fine. You can get a pretty good workout if you use it properly. You can use as low impact or to your liking.

Quality workout without the joint pain
First, it arrived faster than expected & was well-packaged. The instructions were at times vague, so I referenced the images often. The hardware was all included, and it was assembled in 45 minutes (could easily be less time for someone stronger than me!). I tried it out right away & loved it— no pain to my knees! Like gliding on air. Seemed a tad wobbly but I attribute that to it sitting on carpet instead of on a treadmill mat/hard surface. My 200+ lb. spouse & 5yo also tried it out, both with ease. I can feel the work in my hamstrings & hip flexors already, & it’s definitely going to work quads & bum. I enjoyed it to much that I was excited to get back on it the next day. Really work the $$, & I’m honestly surprised it doesn’t cost more given the crazy inflation we’ve seen lately. Folds up nicely too! And is sturdy yet light enough for a petite 5’4” out-of-shape human to fold. Recommend to anyone, especially someone looking to get into shape/back into shape/with joint pains.
