I bought the larger size for a full size pickup bed over a year ago and it was great so when I got another truck with a short ..
I used to tie down my loads with ratchet straps and ropes and was always having to stop and redo them. Not with this. This is my second bed net. I bought the larger size for a full size pickup bed over a year ago and it was great so when I got another truck with a short bed I bought this one. I do use the larger one sometimes in the short bed when I have a big load. The hardest part in using this is keeping the hooks from slipping off the anchor points until it is tight. I added a couple of carabiners which I attach to the eye of the the Bednet hook and the attachment loop in the truck bed so they can't fall off.

A good product
Works good. I leave it attached to the truck bed and when it's not holding anything the tiedown straps tend to get loose and even detach from the tiedown points of the truck bed. I have secured one hook with a lock so if it does come loose at say 70 mph it at least won't fly out. Other than that it does serve it's intended purpose.

Poor design for securing load
The overall quality of the net as in strength is great, very strong. The problem is that the design for the plastic keeper as you tighten the strap will come loose very easily. There is no way to ensure that it stays put. if the slightest upward pressure is applied it will release. I always wrap Gorilla tape around it to keep it from coming loose. That issue cannot be solved without a locking mechanism. the other issue is the hooks, as with all straps that utilize hooks if the lot shifts (and it will) the strap will loosen and the hook will fall off the whatever you secured it to and the load will now be as if you had nothing on it at all. The solution to that is the same for most straps, you have to buy four d rings or carabinier and attach the to the round part of the hook, this way if the load shifts and the strap comes loose it cannot fall off the hook. The net is very good quality but the fastening system is awful. Also, get the largest net they sell regardless of truck size. You can always take carabinier to choke up the size for a smaller load, but if the load goes past the side rails or you truck, it will not cover properly.
