Must be a factory refurbished or knock off suit
At first, I was thinking I'd found a great deal on a Soul drysuit, but I did a little research and discovered that The manufacturer's minimum advertised price on these suits is $849 and they contractually require all authorized dealers to price the Soul drysuit no lower than that price. The fact that this one is 20% below the price offered by Ocean Rodeo's own dealer network should be your first clue that something is wrong with this deal. Ocean Rodeo would never sell their products directly through Amazon at a price 20% below the minimum allowed for their own dealer network since that would place them in violation of their own dealership agreement and result in them competing directly against their own dealers - sales channel conflict. If this were a true factory authorized suit being sold by Ocean Rodeo at a price 20% below what they allow their dealers to sell them for, every dealer in their network would be screaming foul until the price was adjusted or the product pulled. So, there's simply no way this suit is authentic. When it comes to a piece of gear upon which I'm placing my life, I don't want to take chances. If I'm kiteboarding a mile offshore and this suit has a defect that results in a seam failure, I could easily drown in a flooded suit or die of hypothermia since, unlike a wetsuit, these suits provide no warmth if they rupture and fill with water. A knock off that wasn't subjected to the same rigid quality control checks that authentic Ocean Rodeo drysuits undergo or a refurbished drysuit that may not meet quality standards represents a very real threat to your life. This suit at this price has all kinds of redflags popping up. I love a deal, but I have to be alive to spend the money I save.

great product- quick shipment
great product- quick shipment. Layered with smart wool and was very warm in 40 degree weather and 60 degree water on SUP for an hour. I took hood off and used wetsuit hood and was perfect.

Extremely well designed drysuit
This drysuit is awesome. The suit features are very well thought out. The hood cinches in 3 spots and is vented and detachable. There are side pockets, an mp3 player pocket, and a kiteboarding harness feature/zip. The main zip is hidden/protected by the jacket, so it can be temporarily worn with a zipped up jacket without putting on the neck seal (I thought this was one reason the Soul was superior to the Neil Pryde Lucifer drysuit). Thus far I have used it for a lot of wakeboarding and general water sports, in air/water temps as low as about 45/45. It does an overall good job of keeping me dry. I have had damp ankles/wrist/neck from hard falls when water got forced past the seals. Wearing tight cuffed booties and gloves eliminates this, which I think is an issue with any latex drysuit seals, and would be much worse with neoprene(?). The seals are fairly comfortable too, not a bother on the ankles/wrist, and only noticeable on the neck when turning the head fully. Water and air temperatures are not a problem with layering underneath (I really like Ocean Rodeo fleece too), when the weak link becomes the feet and hands. It is very easy to get into, although there is definitely a method to it... at first I would fumble around for a while getting in and out, but now I can put it on and take it off just as fast as a wetsuit. You do need to make sure the zip will clear your shoulders (there are "king" sizes with an extra long zipper). As far as sizing, I am 6'3", 200 pounds, lean/muscular, and the xl is a great fit (I wouldn't mind the "king" zip to make it easier to fit my shoulders and/or wear a life jacket underneath, but the less suit bulk the better).I ordered direct from Ocean Rodeo, but I'm not sure why another review would have posted a bad review because this was being sold via amazon as well. Ocean Rodeo customer service is good... they are very helpful, especially the ones that actually use and explain the gear. They did mess up my order (twice), but they expedited my shipment when I followed up with them.

Best dry suit on the market
I used to own the Pyro Pro dry suit from Ocean Rodeo but much use saw me in desire of an upgraded experience. Truth be told I didn't really need a new one, I could have replaced a couple of seals cheaply and easily, but I watched the product demo for the Soul and decided to go for it. I had my trial run yesterday and I can't say enough about it. The old Pyro was breathable, to an extent, but it was a bit warm at times, this new version is way more breathable (but also completely windproof, how do they do that?). The nice thing about this is that your moist / sweaty / warmth is sucked out and you stay dry and warm inside. The fit of the soul is better than the pyro as well, it feels like a well tailored garment rather than a dry suit. It looks sharp, I got mine in Orange, and that really stands out on the water. (I use mine for surfing, paddle boarding, and kiteboarding). The range of movement is fantastic. The ease of putting on with the new behind the neck low profile zipper is also great. I went out in 50 degrees, with a 55 degree water temp, and I just had one very thin layer of fleece top and bottom, nothing else, and I was perfectly warm, in fact I tried laying down floating for about 10 minutes and I couldn't detect any coldness (except my hands). The hood is really nice, it keeps all that water splash off the back of your neck and keeps the heat in. Even though i wear a neoprene fleece hat which is quite warm, putting the hood over that really kept me incredibly dry and warm. This is the 3rd dry suit I have owned and BY FAR the best, looking, fitting, performing, highly recommend.

Soul Drysuit - Brilliant!
For Stand-up Paddleboarding in cold weather / cold water conditions the Ocean Rodeo Soul dry-suit is a brilliant piece of apparel. Unlike a wetsuit which is restrictive and uncomfortable the Soul articulates beautifully and allows unimpeded movement. It is very easy to get into, and reasonably easy to get out of (those seals are tight!). One caution: like an unlined Gore-tex ski jacket the Soul by itself is not particularly warm. Be sure to purchase a size that is large enough to allow for layering for warmth in cold and windy conditions.
