U.S. MRE Variety Pack of 12, A or B Case Random

Purchase 05/2025 Manufacture Date 07/11/2022 Inspect / Test Date 07/2025 Be aware of what you are buying. These are close to the 3 year inspect / test date, meaning when you get them, they are close to when the military would consider them expired. In my case, 2 months left on their original shelf life. That being said, this depends heavily on the temperature they were stored at. If they were stored in a hot warehouse, they'd be bad by now. Look at the Time and Temperature Indicator (TTI), which is an orange sticker with a dark gray circle on it. The center of the circle grows darker over time, when exposed to high temperatures. Once the color in the center of the circle matches the outside of the circle, it's considered to be at its "pull date". My TTI is in good shape, meaning it was stored in a climate controlled area, and it still has some years of shelf life left on it. At this age, you may run across some components that are getting iffy, but most of it should be edible. Purchased two cases. Received one Case A and one Case B, which is nice. This gives you good menu variety and will reduce menu fatigue. The price is great. A little over $3 each meal is a steal. They are probably trying to sell these off to make room in the warehouse for the new style. Just be aware that these are not "brand new" MREs and plan accordingly. These did not come packaged in an outer box, if that matters to you. They just stuck the address label on the carton and shipped it. So your shipper knows that you received a case of MREs, if you care. The cartons arrived in good condition because they are very heavy duty. The cases are banded and sealed.

EDIT: Just had my first MRE meal, and wow! It was so good, not kidding. I was a skeptic at first, but each items seem so fresh like it was just made. And seasoning was just right. I also noticed that after consuming one meal, have lots of energy. Though I do admit that the food does contain above average food preservatives than most freshly prepared meal. But this is understandable as it needs those ingredients in order to prolong shelf life. Also the I can feel the surplus calories for me to go that extra mile the next day! I am not sure however, those folks that said it tasted terrible but I don't see any difference from restaurant served meal. Definitely an eye opener for me. Will be ordering more for sure. This is the genuine MRE in a sealed box, and shipped double boxed. Such a nice presentation, and I am looking forward to take them whenever I go camping. It was double boxed and I can understand why. One of the reviewer said some portions were opened, and likely it was the courier. Never in my life saw so much looting everywhere, including from major carriers like UPS, FedEx, or USPS. So it was double boxed which is a good idea. But aside from that, this is the real deal. Genuine U.S. MRE portions that are consumed by our men and women of the armed forces. So proud of our military serving our wonderful country, we should all at least "get a taste" of what it is like on day to day on the field. Thank you!

Got the B case, and the meals inside are legit, and nicely it comes with a heat pack like usual, so only a few drops of water to activate that you get a warm meal, and the taste, as long as that's a meat meal, that taste just like what you expected, only the texture is a bit funny since they made these meals to last not to "enjoy" like the elitists out there showing off foods they tasted. The case was extremely hard, and they won't deform as I can say, and portion size is not bad, good enough for 170 pound me, and again the heat pack is easy to use, make sure you don't overfill it else it will lose heat. Overall that's very good for that price point!

I ordered one to try them out since MREs have their use cases - and I wanted to verify this seller. I got what I ordered delivered in a timely manner. The case was manufactured back in 2022 and was still good in terms of freshness. I am still going through the MREs now but so far they taste fine - haven't gotten a single spoiled one yet. Issues I found where that I got two menu 19s - didn't go through the hassle of figuring out which menu I didn't get, and one mre - menu 22 - was opened in both layers of packaging which I ended up throwing away. Both of these issues I believe are manufacturer issues since the case was completely sealed when it arrived with no signs of tampering. I look to buying from this seller again in the future.

These are legit. Haven't tried them yet will update when I do but the temp tag was good and there is decent variety in the box. At roughly $5 a meal, these are an amazing value only beaten by the higher calorie but meatless U.S. humanitarian rations. I like to break them down and repack with my vacuum sealer, and will likely mix these up with the veggie humanitarian rations and toss in a pack of chicken or tuna. I do long day hikes and backpack and found this type of meal more efficient then freeze dried, which despite weight savings still requires you to carry fuel and a stove (and have plenty of water!). The heaters are not critical for my purposes and from other reviews and talking to my vet friends understand them to be wonky at best. Shipping was incredibly fast I was basically surprised by the case on my porch. As we continue to enjoy living in *historical* times I'm going to grab a few more cases so I can rotate out and eat my older stuff. Help may not be coming soon if things go bad, so get to know your neighbors and share resources before SHTF. Strength in numbers and community.

Inspection date was current month, so needed to crack open the case and check it out. One outer packaging was glued to the inside of the box during initial packing, not the fault of the seller. Looking at the exposure indicator, I figure I have roughly 2 years left, and that's just fine given the price I paid. I ate the one I had to rip apart, as part of the inspection, and everything appeared fine and tasted as expected. Whether you're camping or prepping, you typically can't go wrong with having a case of MREs. They're packed with sugar and salt, so increase water intake to balance that out. Always easy to use, the included heater I used got hot quickly and performed like new.

10/10. Very convenient for living in a situation where you dont have access to a kitchen or a microwave. Ive always wanted to try these and they were actually quite fun to make and eat. These are quick and fast to make and i love how its like a full course meal with a entree and sides and desert and a drink and sometimes coffee. It was delivered pretty fast after ordering, everything was packaged well, and the experation date isnt for another 5 years. They have a good amount of protein, carbs, and fiber in each meal. The only complaint i have is the protein shake drink remained clumpy no matter how hard or how long i shook it for so i couldnt drink it, but i think if i'd pourrf it into a regular water bottle and shook it then it wouldve blended better, but its still a quality product nonetheless and I will be purchasing again very soon to eat and maybe even keep some in my car for emergencies.

Arrived ahead of schedule - MRS's latest inspection was 2015. A variety of meals is provide when ordering a case of 12 meals. These MRE's have a capability to warm each meal with out an external heat source. Each meals comes with additional accessories. At one meal per day this will feed you for twelve days at about 1250 calories per day.

Great, as advertised! Came intact and in great condition due to double boxing too.

Just as ordered and I got lucky and received the Menu I wanted and that’s a 50/50 thing as there random boxes but there great kits for survival gear and fishing/hunting/camping as well !!
