I like how the book shows different fabrics and how to use them, and even how to wash. Its good for all designers to have this book because it can open your mind to other materials and etc. Pretty cool.

This book is phenomenal! It completely blew away my expectations. Rarely do you find a guide that is legitimately useful for beginning and advanced levels, but Textilepedia manages it. If you know nothing about fabric, you could read this one book and be light-years beyond virtually anyone who doesn't work in the industry. Not to mention, you won't have to worry about falling for the mountains of misinformation floating around the Internet. And if you're already a textile nerd, this book is a perfect quick-reference. They clearly put a ton of thought into the design and organization, so you can pick it up and quickly grab the answer you need, but it's also tempting to get sucked in and want to keep browsing all the other fabrics. I wish I would've had this book sooner. It would've saved me so many hours throughout years of piecing together bits of fabric info and learning "the hard way." I highly recommend it to anyone who has any interest in fabric, fashion design, costuming, or even just learning more about the clothes you're wearing right now (assuming you're wearing clothes... 🤔)

Textilepedia is the best book of textile fabrics, with very actualized and interesting information, accompanied by very good photos. The delivery arrived to my home very very soon and without problems. Totally satisfied with the purchase!

I go back to this book everytime I'm unsure of which fabrics I want to pick for constructing different types of garments.

I got this book for my daughter for her birthday and she is in love with it. She has another book by the same author and she wants another one of their books. I can’t think of the name right now. But she is in love with this book and the information that it holds. She loves fashion, and she loves learning about fashion and these books are great if that is your thing.
