This review is for the blue ink, capped version, of the .7mm Uni Jetstream. I used to use this pen in college 20 years ago and I loved it desperately, then it became harder to find. I recently thought of it and found it here on Amazon. I bought a set, expecting it to disappoint my memories, but if anything, it's even better than I remember. The ink is so smooth. I barely have to touch the page to get a clean line. The weight and balance of the pen while the cap is posted is perfect for the size of my hand. The ink is a very dark blue that looks beautiful on the page. I wish I could give this product MORE than 5 stars as it so fully exceeds my expectations that I feel like a perfect score doesn't do it justice.

Writes, slides, it is fun to write with. Watch the tip size. I ordered "fine point size 0.7 mm", got a box that said "medium point 0.7 mm"! As long as it's 7 mm!! Writes smooth, has nice grip. This style has a cap so if you don't want to mess with that order Uniball Jetstream RT (Retractable). Start that novel!

This is a Wirecutter recommended pen, but I believe I should have ordered the 1mm click version. The pen writes quite smoothly and is comfortable, but trying to get the cap off from the secure position is quite a pull. I’d much rather have the convenience Of just a click. As an aside, I’ve always been a fine point fan (usually 0.7) but decided to try just a slightly bolder line. I love it as a 1.0mm , it’s even smoother.

I like blue pens and these are amazing! Great ink quality, smooth on the paper. No left-hander smear!

A few years ago, I had one of these pens. It had lasted me until this year, so I bought this four pack. Over the course of 2-3 months, I had gone through the entire pack. I hadn't even used them a lot. They're fantastic pens at first, but then after a week or two of using one pen, they just stop working. Perhaps I got a bad pack. I know that my previous one, which I had been using on and off for about two and a half years, then vigorously for the last half, had held up and was a great pen until I legitimately ran out of ink. But the new ones that I purchased from Amazon just stopped working, even when the ink was clearly visible when I took it out of the barrel. No matter how much I had just scribbled on paper, after wetting the tip, left it upside down for the ink to travel to the tip, 0 out of 4 pens resumed its ability. However, when they DO work, they're amazing. when you write, it feels light and smooth. It's not scratchy at all. Because it's so smooth, it doesn't hurt your hand. You do less work when writing, so when I used these pens for essays and tests, there was no strain. Maybe I got a faulty pack. I just wish they had lasted longer than 1-3 weeks each.
