WD Red Pro 5TB NAS Hard Disk Drive - 7200 RPM SATA 6 Gb/s 128 MB Cache 3.5 Inch - WD5001FFWX

Popped two of these into a failing LaCie BigDisk2 chassis and configured as RAID 0 for backup storage and secondary TimeMachine backup disk. Working well so far. Not as fast as I'd hoped, but I haven't done any bench testing on the RAID. I am not a techie anyway, so maybe I should know that NAS drives are just not as fast; I bought them because they were cheap! Didn't even know if they'd work in the LaCie chassis, so I'm happy. Only other thing is that the LaCie seems a lot louder with these in it. Maybe the drives are louder than the originals or maybe they run hotter so demand more fan from the LaCie. I don't care about noise though. They store data and lots of it.

Performance is very good compared to the non-Pro dirves that were replaced. However, these drives are significantly noisier during seeks that the non-Pro versions.

I have been using the 4 TB RED Pros in my Synology 12 Bay NAS for over a year without a single issue. They run relatively quiet and cool compared to other NAS drives I have used in the past. I am starting to switch out some of the older 2 TB drives with the 6 TB Red Pros and outside of the ridiculous price of $500.00 on Amazon compared to the $275.00 price directly from WD, I will continue utilizing the RED Pros. I will just purchase them from Western Digital website.

I order the wrong one. Red is for server and blue is for home use. I did order a blue one and it work great

My Synology NAS never worked as smoothly as it does now! I replaced five (5) WD Green 2.0 TB drives with this one, and I am really pleased with the performance and speed of the server. It was a good performer before, and it so nice now to have the peace of mind of the larger capacity and the RED PRO drive. Totally worth the spend.

I can't rave enough about how happy I am with these drives. I have 5 of them with more on the way, and not so much as a hiccup. The 5 year warranty means I'm guaranteed to have these drives (or their replacements) in service long after I stop needing drives so "small" :)

Da sich meine positiven Erfahrungen mit Festplatten anderer Hersteller extrem in Grenzen gehalten haben, habe ich mich für die etwas kostenintensivere, jedoch mit Sicherheit bessere Alternative entschieden: eine WD Red Pro mit 6TB Speicherkapazität. Verpackung: Die vier Festplatten kamen hervorragend und gesichert verpackt bei mir an. Allesamt unbeschädigt. Jede einzelne von ihnen ist angemessen verpackt und sollte auch ohne weitere Umverpackung eine Reise mit einem Paketdienstleister unbeschadet überstehen. Einsatzgebiet: Zur Erweiterung einer NAS benötige ich vier große eSATA-Festplatten, die für den Dauerbetrieb 24/7 geeignet sind. Die Garantiebedinungen von Western Digital in Verbindung mit der WD Red Pro Serie haben mich überzeugt. Auch in meinen anderen NAS-Systemen verwende ich seit mehreren Jahren ausschließlich WD-Festplatten und hatte bislang (seit ca. 3 Jahren im Dauerbetrieb) noch nicht einen einzigen Ausfall. Auch die systemseitige, monatliche Diagnose zeigt, dass die Festplatten allesamt ohne jeden Fehler funktionieren. Fazit: Wenn Sie eine Festplatte suchen, die im Dauerbetrieb zuverlässig ihren Dienst verrichten soll, dann sind Sie mit dieser Festplatte von Western Digital sehr gut beraten. Eine klare Kaufempfehlung.

Acheté pour remplacer un 3 To Red (non pro) dans un NAS Synology! Très bon produit. Facile à mettre en oeuvre. Un petit reproche, il est beaucoup plus bruyant que mon ancienne disque. Précisément, le moteur fait peu de bruit quand il tourne mais on entend beaucoup les têtes de lecture. et finalement, je trouve cela beaucoup plus gênant. Mais cela reste un produit que je recommande. Une étoile de moins pour ce défaut et une livraison assez lente (une semaine) pour un produit vendu par Amazon.

Buen rendimiento. Quizas un poco mas ruidoso que la serie FR, ya que estos FF van a 7200 rpm y los FR son de 5400 rpm.

レビューがなかったため、参考までに書き込ませていただきます。購入から一ヶ月程度経った状況でのレビューとなります。今まで同社のRed 3TBを使用していましたが、空き容量がなくなったため、バックアップ用とともにリプレースしました。メインをRed Pro、バックアップをRedの6TBという形で運用しています。耐久性は気になりますが、今はただ満足しています。 音の比較ですが、Redが静かです。ただ、Red Proも健闘しています。確かにアクセス音はしますが、控えめなゴリゴリ音で耳障りではありません。前ドライブからデータを引っ越した際に近くに置いていましたが、私は許容範囲内でした。PCケースに内蔵してしまえば、気にならないのではないでしょうか。 速度は添付のベンチの通り(データが入っていない状態とデータ転送後の比較で、いずれも高速な方がRed Pro)ですが、高解像度の写真データを開く際等にRedとの速度差を実感しています。SSD Raidの速度に慣れてしまっていますが、これだけの速度が出ればデータドライブとしての不満はありません。 主な構成：Core i7 2600k(定格動作)、ELZA Geforce GTX680、Crucial SSD 250GB*2(Raid 0)、Windows 10 Pro
